The land lady was lovely at short notice she let us have our dads wake there the staff behind the bar was very friendly they could not cater the food but let us take our own food which was good would highly recommend them thank you
The new landlord and landlady are really making an effort with this pub and it is now light and airy with lots of events/ food offerings during the week. The new Sunday Roast is excellent value at £10 and the apple crumble and custard for £2.50ps a bargain.
Place is a little deceiving looking from outside but don’t be put off. This is a very reasonable local pub who are trying their best during tough times.
The roast was really tasty but the portion could have been larger and actually as we were leaving we seen others with portions almost double the size. I’m not sure if this was because they were locals or if it was later on and they had extra food left.
Unfortunately was not massively full as we left.
It's alright, a dated looking pub on a 1950's or '60's housing green which has a kind if unusual charm of its own. Nothing special but a local for people for a refreshing drink with car park with fast food van located there & outside spaces opposite the green where there are other take away/s &/ shops. This pub does show sports & has a pool table & gaming machines & we watched the football World Cup there last year & it was packed!
Dirty. Grubby. Not a nice atmosphere.
I moved to the area in 2015 and was the first time in there and they said 'this pub is for locals only!'
They were playing some Irish folk songs REALLY loud.
Family pub???? I wouldnt dare take my almost 3 year old twins there. Definitely can guarantee I will not be going back again.
Landlord needs more support from brewery to improve property needs updating outside
Very poor, very dated place, unclean with drugs in the toilet area.car park more like a storage are for builders equipment with rats running around, Staff are just rude and unkept. My first time there and I won’t be returning that’s for sure
Very friendly and welcoming it's so nice to have somewhere to take the grandkids too with games and free ice creams, even the dog was welcome ????
