Definitely not worth the price for the room. I have many many complaints. The socket on the wall was loose, practically hanging off, the carpet had numerous stains, the list goes on and on.. I found a pill on the floor next to the bed, God knows what it was but I flushed it down the toilet. I woke up all sore as the bed was terrible. We had issues with the TV remote, had to get staff to come up and fix it.
Breakfast was abysmal. It's self serve and was a ridiculous amount left under the hotplate and it was all dried up. The eggs looked like something from a nuclear site! No coffee or tea. Had to have a coffee in our room before checking out.
The only plus side I can think of is there is a Witherspoon's directly across from the hotel which was handy for breakfast, not so handy during the night as the windows were useless and let noise into the room when trying to sleep.
I hate giving bad reviews but honestly, this was terrible.

Hotel still taking payments through their website despite shutting down. Email and Phone number provided don't work so no way to contact them.
Dog friendly hotel. WOW!
In my experience with allocated room that was all it was good for.
Room 11 was an expensive kennel.
£250 for 2 nights in Sept
Buffet Breakfast,
Day 1. Ran out of sausages.
Day 2. Plenty sausages, horray! But pot of tea was cold.
To say the room needs refurbishment is an understatement.
Ripped wallpaper on walls and ceiling, holes in wall exposing plumbing. Bulbs missing, tv not working. Carpet was in keeping with the rest of the decor.
Try and get a hold of someone to complain. HAH!
Wished I'd read reviews before I booked.
Wouldn't stay there for free.
Found out that they are newish owners and trying their best.
Awww, Diddums.
Chancers, putting a room like that out for booking.
Excellent, stayed here as a last minute booking due to poor accommodation on my first night in Hawick. Amazing vibe, scenery and the rooms are gorgeous, whole place is! Recommend staying in the tower if you don’t mind stairs. Three courses of top quality posh scran for £23!
Located in a lovely centric location, quite walkable to lot of shops and restaurants. Only problem is there's no lifts or elevators or support staff and we had two 60 plus parents travelling with us and we had to lug them and the luggage up two flights of stairs which was a bit inconvenient. But the rooms were good and clean, and breakfast was good too! ????
One word to sum up this hotel - delightful. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and really well decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast, which is included, was delish. Location of the hotel within Hawick was excellent. And if you're looking for dinner the Punjabi Grill on the High St does decent food.
Absolutely lovely hotel with great service from the team. Right in the middle of town with all amenities in walking distance, but no issues with noise. The rooms are clean and well decorated with everything you need. The team couldn't do enough. Highly recommended. Will be coming back!
Very warm welcome and a highly enjoyable stay. Would not hesitate to come back again if I'm in the area
