Last time I was here it was excellent!!!! It is not the Artyard Café.....it is the Harrow Inn as it was in days gone by. The food, service and atmosphere was just perfect. At the moment it's being renovated, the roof needed fixing and generally it has been brought back to life !!!! I believe that it's reopening for New Year's Eve.....now that will be something to look forward to!!!! It's a great pub and we need to keep them going....so go there!!!! I love it!!!
Nice title Cafe.. had a spot of lunch here, food was good. Friendly staff and good play area for the kids
Great British pub serving good old fashioned wholesome fair, something that is not so easy to come by in this part of the world. Good service, big portions (burgers are massive) and tasty.
Nothing pretentious, just good food, drinks, coffee and ice cream.
Thoroughly recommended especially for families
We stopped for lunch on Sunday whilst in the area for the weekend. The food is fantastic and very good value. We had the Sunday mixed roast and a burger plus a kids menu. It was all really delicious. The staff are super friendly, quick and attentive. Great place to visit with kids too as there is even a little play area. Would definitely recommend a visit!
I wouldn't seek this place out. It doesn't know whether it's a pub or a café. The servers are very nice and helpful but, perhaps, a little inexperienced. When we arrived, we were shown to our table (well, our picnic bench) outside in the shade and told someone would be out to take our order for drinks and, because of the CCTV, they would know when we were ready. Soon after that, someone else came out and took our drinks order, gave us menus, and told us to go in and order food at the bar. We did that, one at a time, and each had to pay at the time of ordering. The ploughman's lunch was pretty sparse on the plate with a very small baguette in two tiny pieces. Little more than a finger roll. Others had the all-day breakfast, which looked OK but there was no vegetarian version. I imagined something wonderful like veggie sausage sandwich on wholemeal bread. No chance. Overall, the food is very 1990s and the menu needs a proper refresh.
Food is very basic. I had a dry burger that was impossible to put in my mouth and a ridiculous amount of fries.
The beer is kept well, but was only Sharps. 5/10, could do so much better
The staff were friendly and the artwork on the wall was nice. The food was very much below par. Hardly any cheese on the toastie which was hard. Couldn't eat the main course.
Lovely place lovely food. Great staff and a fun place to go
