Excellent town pub. Great atmosphere when busy. Can be quiet in the week or during the day. Food is always top notch and staff are always friendly. Great little sports bar with pool table. Great location right in the centre of town.
A great town centre pub, located next to the Pannier Market, and market car park.
The food was excellent and very reasonably priced, it arrived hot and promptly the staff were very helpful and friendly, there's a great selection of drinks including live ales (Taylors Landlord and Adnams when visited but looks like they have a number of guest ales too) they also had Adnams Ghost Ship 0.5% Low Alcohol Citrus Pale Ale which is one of the best LA beers. As I was driving I was so pleased they stocked this, thanks. Overall an excellent town centre pub.
A decent boozer, though no free parking, all paid. Next to the Pannier market. Good selection of beers, but the Ales came out too cold. Cheap beer prices compared to Exeter. Grub was good. Sport on TV.
Great evening at a local pub and good atmosphere with rock covers band 'Geekchic' playing. Clearly everyone had much fun. Thanks Half Moon and @Geekchic
Friendly staff, good drinks and games room.
Food can be a bit hit or miss usually a hit though, breakfasts are good as are the jackets, sandwiches etc. Food is on the cheaper side and portions large so good value for money but quality not always the best, had a huge gammon steak and it was cooked well but quality of meat wasn't the best, would rather they charged a little more and got a better/smaller cut.

Good pub. Not clicky. Bar room and a pool room. Good crowd at times. Worth a visit if you're in town and in or near the market..
Wonderful staff. So polite. Serve a first class Sunday lunch all freshly prepared, not out of packets and heated in a microwave. Very clean bar and dining area.
