I love coming to this HALAH GUYS!! Everyone here is so nice! Doesn’t matter the time I go they food is always good and fresh! ❤️❤️❤️ Today my friend H gave me my favorite hot sauce in a heart shape and he made my day thank you! ❤️
Just had the most delicious meal at Halal guys. My friend had the chicken & beef platter. I had the falafel platter and both were fantastic!
unlike food cart, they have a restaurant where you can sit and have their famous chicken over rice. typical taste like 53x6 ave one. I was there on Sunday so no crowd at all. ordered peacefully and had my chicken platter. I like it more white sauce and pinch of hot sauce. try it, you would like it. rest was clean. I guess its bit expensive as cart has $7 (not sure). and another thing which I have noticed, the portion is not that big, cart gives you full bowl which is more than sufficient for you but here you have to ask the server to fill more rice. so more price, less portion.
the only problem is you have to find parking which is tough in peak hours.
Finally gave Halal guys a try! As a middle easterner, I'm not easily impressed with levantine restaurants, but this place is not bad at all. I went for the gyros/chicken combo platter; it's good. The white sauce has a mayo-like taste, not exactly the best middle eastern sauce I've had, but it does compliment the dish to some degree. Service is quick, but street parking can be a hassle.
Food was pretty good, the service wasn’t so great. A decent amount of attitude when ordering the food.would possibly give it another try if I was in the area again.
Side note: The hot sauce is hot hot!!
Usually never write reviews but this place is amazing. Friendly staff. Amazing owners. Everyone here is so nice. They remember your order, food is always fresh and ready early or when it should be when ordering ahead. Great portion size for not a lot of money. You won't be hungry. I get dinner here a few times a week and it never disappoints.
The Halal Guys’ incredible street food resturant begins in 90's. They first started a hot dog cart in New York City, then pivoted to selling halal food to Muslim taxi drivers who at the time had few outlets for authentic halal food in the five boroughs. You must try their famous platters of chicken and gyro over rice, falafel sandwiche.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.
This place deserves ZERO stars. We Ordered three gyros, a platter and PAID for extra white sauce(in addition to the sauce that come with the meals). My order arrived with NO SAUCE at all. The fact that i paid extra on each meal to receive more sauce and not get 1 drop is crazy. I then called to inform them about the error and the guy that answered the phone didn’t apologies the only words were “call in the morning when the manager is here” then he hung up the phone. Very unprofessional staff, extremely disappointed. I will no longer order from this place.
Food is super dry without the sauce and the lettuce taste old. Can’t even eat it.
