Best KPortal Reviews
Simply one of the best breakfasts on the planet. With quality food, warm engaging staff, and down to Earth pricing, you’ll walk out full and satisfied. We’ve already visited several times and will return to enjoy breakfast again and again. Rise and shine, folks, it’s time for a Grove Cafe breakfast.
The best pancakes! Most people can't even finish 1, I always order a short stack with fruit ( I think only available on the weekends) and eat every bite! Waitress even complimented me today that my plate was the cleanest pancake plate she had ever seen. ???? Other breakfast items look tasty, but I'll stick with pancakes!
All my life I have never ate at The Grove. Not because I didn't want to but the few times we attempted to it was to busy and we just did not want to wait
All of the food was delicious, the only complaint that I have is that my hash browns were only half cooked. I took a bite and half of them were basically raw.
The waitresses were super nice and accommodating.
Had breakfast here today. Biscuits and gravy was the special with the option of regular or spicy. So I'm thinking that meant a little spicier sausage. Wrong!! Extra spicy meant peppers, jalapenos and lots of other things I do not care for. My mistake, I should have clarified. Anyway, I tried a bite and knew I would be miserable all day if I ate it. So I asked the waitress to please bring me the regular. When she had initially taken our order she was bright and cheerful, but when I told her of my misunderstanding and asked for the regular order you would have thought I had insulted her in every way possible. Totally turned a deaf ear to me when I tried to say it was my mistake and that I would gladly pay for it. Won't be going back there again. The place wasn't that clean anyway.
We LOVED this place. It's a small town cafe with fantastic food trapped inside a college town. Go earlier than you planned and expect to wait your turn for a table. Don't be in a hurry. Our breakfast was far better than every other place in town, and we've been to nearly all of them. You have to try the pancakes. If you can sit so you can watch them cook it's a good show. I had the famous pancake, scrambled egg and ham. All cooked to perfection. Of course I only ate about 1/3 of the huge delicious pancake with homemade pancake syrup. Husband ordered ham and cheese omelet with homemade hashbrowns and toast. His food was also delicious. Portion size is perfect for a person of normal appetite, except the huge pancakes. Never mind the building, it's just very old. Service was excellent, friendly, and fast.
I usually do not make reviews, but I was saddened to see how discrimination still exists now days. The waitress took a long time to offer drinks and took the orders of two tables that came after us first, it took her about half hour to get our order. Will not be eating here again.
Had a pleasant experience, barely had to wait on a Sunday morning! Waitresses and cook didn't wear masks, so keep that in mind if that's important to you. Food was good but honestly looked and tasted like I could make it at home. CASH and CHECK ONLY which unless I'm totally blind I didn't see posted anywhere. Luckily there was an ATM close by. A cute old fashioned place but without phenomenal food I won't be back
Pancakes were super light color and tasted kinda off like chemicals or something didnt taste like they usually do. They also need more options on eatstreet to add extras like chocolate chips or Strawberrys to the pancakes. I've eaten this place so many times but today was my first bad experience..
