Fabulous fish & chips, the best in the area. Haddock is big and the chips are really tasty! I definitely recommend going!
I've had fish, chips and mushy peas from this chippy a couple of times recently and it's exactly what fish and chips should be like. Good size fresh fish and very generous portion chips. I think the negative reviews are just malicious and not honest, which is a shame. I guess they have their reasons but there's nothing wrong with the food, it's top notch.

Small portion of cold greasy chips and a piece of cod that was undercooked with soft sloppy batter.Will avoid this place as it upset my stomach for the day.

I'm from the north and like gravy with a meal.
Chips down south are not very good usually, and this place is the same. I think they are the wrong potatoes and cooked wrong. Dry inside with a feeling of being slightly raw. They need to be stored in water and a different potato used.
Pie was microwaved and then put in the heater so not crisp. But a good pie.
Mushy peas are good but the chips are the main thing and not good.
Staff very friendly though.
The lady at the chip shop 6/4/24 was extremely rude and shouted at me. I asked her to wrap my cones up and she rolled her eyes. I then asked for a carrier bag and she got really angry. Shocking service. Beware!
Order from here and have been throwing up after eating the donner meat worst chippy I’ve ever had greasy chips dripping in it
