First off, the owner was great. He let us sample different pizza sauces and items to see what we liked prior to ordering. The pizza was amazing - Chicago style tavern pizza with a few different sauces to choose from. The tacos, smash burger, and fries were also great, and all of the food was hot and fresh. The fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Other people we were with ordered the burrito, and they really enjoyed it as well. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu here - definitely worth a visit.
The pizza was outstanding! Even better than I remembered from the old location! Also had the smash burger that was phenomenal, very flavorful. The skirt steak tacos were awesome, so tender. Will definitely be back!!!
Wonderful bar in a strip mall. Great pizza coming out of The Great American. Cheesy and saucy on a thin cracker crust. The ability to pick your sauce flavor is a great option.
Amazing burgers we also got tacos and pizza the skirt steak is amazing actual real skirt steak the owner Ethan was super nice the kitchen is separate from the bar. Add crushed red pepper to the pizza before cooking if you like spice like that it hits different !!!! Will be back soon!!
Seen a post about the pizza on a Pizza Facebook group and gave it a try. So glad I did because it did not disappoint. Will definitely be back this is my new favorite pizza place in Shorewood/Plainfield area. Great crust, sauce and cheese. We opted for the mixed sauce, they let us sample the garlic, sweet and mixed.
The pizza is amazing! Crispy cracker crust, fresh ingredients. Get a mix of garlic and sweet sauce!

Pizza is outstanding. Fresh ingredients, crispy crust, best in the area! Service is top notch. They offer 3 sauce options and even allow you to taste test the sauce. They also offer to add crushed red pepper to the crust before baking. Phenomenal! This is a must try. You will not be disappointed. Skirt steak tacos A+. Top 3 I have had. We will be back.
Great bar, great food! I had a chance to sit down with the owner and discuss the roots of the company along with some free samples of food! The best skirt steak taco I've ever had hands down!
