Parking lot was nearly full. Plenty of shape on the inside. Don't that a full lots keep you from trying this place.
The steak was very good.
The salad/potato/taco/dessert bar is very nice. I have not seen a slad bar this big since we'll before lock downs.
Service was friendly and fast.
Comfort food at very reasonable prices. Salad bar is large. Steaks are fine; nothing to write home about however they are not expensive and come out very quickly. We ate at about 5 pm on a Monday and we were in and out in way less than an hour. So if you are looking for quick fairly tasty eats and good friendly service this is a good spot. (My cocktail was $3.50; in 2024 that is unheard of!)
My Mom came into town for a visit and asked to go somewhere that had some good vegetables. She absolutely loved 611s selection and value for the price. The service was amazing and our waitess was so nice and funny. All of the staff were so friendly and we will definitely be returning.
Well, took my wife to dinner to celebrate mother's day and my shift change at work. I'm going to Dayside after 9 years !! We love coming here and often meet family and friends. The staff is awesome and Nicole is super !! No matter your choice of steak or combining with buffet, you can't go wrong !!
This was my first time here and it was amazing! The place is unique and obviously popular. The wait staff were awesome. Our waitress was hilariously witty and excellent in service. The food was outstanding too! I'm tempted to visit Roanoke again just so I can eat here!!
A surprisingly great place to eat near the mall! Fresh rolls are served as soon as you sit down, our waitress was super friendly and seemed to enjoy being there. It's a quaint place with plenty of Roanoke memorabilia inside, good for tourists or just lovers of the city. Food is just right, the BBQ ribs are the best I've had in a while! There's even soft-serve ice cream cones at the buffet bar. Just remember that food from the buffet can't be takeout, just the entrees. You won't regret a visit!
My favorite place to eat in Roanoke because they have a model train running around the interior. Kids of all ages will like. Salad bar is good, maybe could use a few more selections, I don't know. It just doesn't seem like it has a lot. Nacho/Taco bar, salad, and other prepared salads with a dessert bar. I can't put my finger on what's missing so I'm not going to downgrade a star.
All kinds of cool train decor on a restaurant centered around a restored locomotive that sometimes calls Roanoke home.
Our server tonight was friendly and our orders were delicious. I particularly enjoy the buffet, though I wish they offered more options like black olives. In terms of COVID safety measures, customers are required to wear disposable gloves that are provided at the buffet when getting food. However, none of the servers were wearing masks tonight, and the tables are too close for social distancing norms. I would feel more comfortable if the tables were spread out more.
