My latest chai latte! After visiting the rest of the site, we popped into here for a drink. Didn't have a meal but food selection looked good. I was delighted to see there was a chai latte on the drinks menu and my sister in law also decided to try one, seeing they are my hot drink of choice. We all enjoyed our drinks, in peaceful surroundings.
The BEST carvery I have had in a long time! I had the roast beef and it was pink in the middle and juicy. Tasty red cabbage, carrots, parsnips, stuffing balls etc. Excellent value at £14/head too. Will be returning again soon, thank you.
"That looks like dog meat (texturally)". Had the buckfast cottage pie. Tasted alright but the meat did look a bit strange. The gingerbread latte tasted like a diluted simulation, the chai "synthetic" and the best thing was the bottle of bucky we bought in the shop. And the view was ok; autumnal hues in the woods.
When out cycling I usually look for quaint cafes to stop for a coffee and a cake, but on this occasion, I met my family and sat with an amazing view of the Abbey while we enjoyed some of the most amazing cakes I've had in a while along with a very nice coffee.
I had a honeycomb brownie and took a salted caramel flapjack with me for my ride, which was one of the best flapjacks I've ever had!
Beautiful dinner in perfect surroundings the friendliest staff I've ever encountered....across the whole site ....cannot recommend highly enough ....come and have sunday carvery here I guarantee you will not be dissapointed ,
My family have fond memories of Buckfast and the delicious treacle tart so we ventured there for a very long day trip (from Surrey) to get some. Only to be informed once there, that due to Health & Safety, they are not entitled to take their tart home :)
Are you serious????
The staff needs to be sent to charm school. Don't sell speciality coffees if you can't make them. Very poor selection of baked goods. Won't bother again.
Had their Soup of the day with lovely fresh bread. First class with wonderful taste. Thank you
