£26 for a hamburger & special fish.. Well over priced. Get much superior food fro ferri's chips chapelhall for way less... wouldn't recommend if u had money to waste.... Also fish MEDIOCRE & HAMBURGERS WORST & GREASIEST I'VE EVER HAD.... STAY WELL CLEAR if not for the extortionate prices alone but defo the sub par greasy food
I visit an elderly friend every Thursday and for past two years have been using the golden Fry to get her a special fish and two fritters.
I CANNOT understand why this chippy has so many shockingly bad reviews so decided to do what I never do, that is leave a review.
The special fish is huge, crispy and one of the most perfect fish suppers I’ve ever had. Absolutely not greasy at all. The staff in the shop are lovely, polite and when I phone to place the order every Thursday for collection they answer immediately.
Please, don’t be put off by previous reviews and give them a try. You’ll not regret it.
Use this chippy a lot, goes in today the young boy behind the counter has no customer service skills at all. Told him my order 4 times and still didn’t get it correct. One of my suppers had curry sauce on it and nothing was wrapped correct the bag was packed shocking in the bag, curry sauce everywhere in the bag and on other food. They’ll be lucky if I use them again.
Place does the best cheese and onion pizza and the staff are lovely
1hour n 35min wait for delivery….
Ordered at 17.50 food arrived at 19.25 too long to wait. The fish was very dry and chips swimming in grease and it was just warm first time Iv used this Chippy won’t be using it again
Quick Delivery. Pizza is always nice and warm on arrival and delicious. Sometimes if ordering later at night the fish and chips does seem to have been sitting a long time and not as fresh as it could be, I understand it may be later on at night ordering but if your paying for something you do want it to be just made rather than sitting a long time and going hard and stale.
Ordered a small special fish supper, black pudding supper,single half pizza crunch, mozzarella sticks and two buttered rolls.
Unfortunately decidedly average, It came cool, we had to heat it up which is something I don't like doing.
The special fish was not crispy and fell apart when I tried to lift it ????
Black pudding was dry and no brown sauce which was ordered ????
Pizza crunch was OK ????
Chips were OK ????
Placed an order,chips were frozen ordered 5 roll got 4 delivered,phoned up ,owner said I will check the camera,seriously would anyone lie for a 30p Dry Roll, any 3 phonecalks later I received the roll.No apology from the arrogant owner. No probs mate, you have lost a good customer.
