The Goat Saloon is a great little bar and grill to have a nice lunch at and grab a drink or two at when you are in Taylors Falls. We stopped in for some drinks and lunch after visiting Interstate State Park in Taylors Falls, and its convenient location is just a few blocks from the park entrance right downtown. I had a great burger, and also had some chicken wings and cheese curds as appetizers. The burger was great and they had a good selection of different burgers to choose from. The wings were awesome as well, with a great selection of different sauces and rubs. Good selection of beers. The staff was super friendly. The pull tabs were hot too.
We needed food and ordered wings and deep fried mushrooms. Those mushrooms were the bomb! Amazing! Our wings were wonderful! Service was spot on. Thank you so much!
Hit the spot, good ingredients, perfect timing. Rain camp in while camping. Headed into town and headed straight to The Goat . Been camping in the area for years. Great spot.
Hadn't been here in at least 20 years. Happened to be a Wednesday, and we were craving a burger.
As luck would have it, they have a Burger & fries special for $9. We had the Bella & Swiss Burgers--they were delicious! Washed them down with a couple tap beers.
Bartender/cook (Thumper?) was friendly and did a great job. He told us there are new owners and some changes may be coming. I saw a sign for a new summer drink list for specials.
We will definitely return. Best burgers se have had in a while and the fries were tasty, too.
The Perfect little dive bar. Strong Drinks, Pull Tabs, Huge Burgers. What more can you ask for? We tried the curd burger and wings, both were great.
This is a litteral hole in the wall... but the old school bar decor and atmosphere is still inviting...

only had one guy manning the bar, dining room and cooking...but he was on top of everything... friendly service awesome food and the drinks never ran dry! Sorry... forgot your name but you are FABULOUS dude!
We were getting done with the Christmas lights at Big Rock and decided to give this place a try. Neil was super nice and greeted us with his lovely smile. This is my first time trying goat cheese and it was really good. Thank you so much for what you did for us Neil. ????
Briana, new to the establishment as of two days ago, absolutely went above and beyond to make the dining and drinking experience exceptional. She was managing both the bar and the dining space COMPLETELY on her own and handled it with grace and professionalism. She was absolutely slammed and didn’t skip a beat. This place is lucky to have her and I hope they support her with more staff soon because if everyone is as awesome as her, the more the merrier!! Oh, and the cook, Mason, was the cleanest and calmest cook I’ve ever witnessed. Delicious food!!
