Lovely home made food (deserts are amazing). Lovely staff and atmosphere. Really good family pub and very pet friendly.
I went in for lunch. The pub has a friendly feel from both regulars and staff. The interior is well decorated with both quiet and noisy areas.
The food was well cooked, portion size was at the upper end of reasonable. The pricing of the food made it very good value, with mains at £10 and under and deserts in the range of £5.
If you're in the area, drop in for a bite or pint.

As a family of four, cycling back from Symonds Yat, we just wanted somewhere to stop and relax on the way back, so chained up the bikes outside, just before the rain started.
Although Sunday lunch food service had finished, we couldn’t have been made more welcome!
There was a really good atmosphere with all the local families in there - and they even brought out plates and cutlery so we could eat our takeaway Chinese from over the road, because the rain outside was so heavy!
Definitely recommended for a good time with nice, friendly people.
Good pub food. Piping hot and decent size. Homemade apple crumble (well, it would be rude not to........???? .) Veggie friendly. Lovely staff. Table service. All the locals who walked past us greeted us. Only thing is the car park is quite small but that's it. Walked out fit to burst????????
I was camping in the vicinity, this is a great pub with good cheap food (check kitchen closing times as they can stop serving at 6:45pm!) (Inw which case you can order food from the chinese across the way)Locals are really friendly and welcoming.
We went because they are dog friendly at lot of good homemade food good value good atmosphere friendly staff would recommend
