What a fantastic find.
Came in for a Sunday lunch and left absolutely full! It's really well cooked and delicious.
The pub is very welcoming and friendly.
There is a little story to tell about the stone wall opposite that goes over the bridge, but I'll leave that for you to discover as it's fun to see first hand.
If you're in Mountain Ash or just passing through, you'll be sure of a very warm welcome at The George Inn.
so great to have a country pub that has been very accommodating to my asd son the owners are great staff are so friendly and they allow dogs in the bar area. they served all five of us in great time
A ramblers paradise!
Located right on the Taff Trail this is a great place to meet up and start your walk or to finish up at the end of the day for a drink with a beautiful meal.
There so much to see
Whether you socialising with friends or family, this is a great family friendly pub and doggos are welcomed too.
Staff are amazing and always greet you with a smile. A great selection of drinks are on hand and they serve arguably the best pint in Mountain Ash.
The food here is absolutely outstanding. The last meal I had was the steak with a side of garlic mushrooms which was mouth watering'ly good. My partner had the sizzling chicken slouvlaki, the chicken was marinating to perfection and was cooked beautifully. The satisfaction of the sizzling plate can't be beat.

Booked in for 17 people well in advance, they took a deposit and pre order on food which we expected, that was fine.
We were the only people eating that evening, even with the pre orders they still messed up certain meals, one of the dishes came out 35 minutes after the others, then the jacket potato was frozen so we had to wait another hour afterwards for the meal to come back fresh (I know some people would refuse the second meal but she had to eat)
Food was coming out in dribs and drabs nothing came out together.
Desserts were ordered and we made sure everything was accounted for, even then they still didn't bring out one of the desserts, to be told "Oh what was it? I'll go get it now" We refused the dessert and asked for the bill. Absolutely shocking service I've got to say, yes they apologised but I don't feel this was adequate at all. We will not be returning any time soon, so drastic changes are needed!
I have the food a 4* because even with the bad service to food was actually really nice.
Nice clean and tidy pub all very friendly service was very really good.
Simple food, cooked well. Very friendly staff and nice family atmosphere. Would recommend.
