Lovely little village pub! Visited with a party of 10 for dinner which the staff accommodated happily. Brilliant range of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Nice range of food also, maybe could be argued there could be more choice of food but for a small, family run pub there is plenty of choice. Fairly priced aswell considering the quality of the food was brilliant! Very friendly and welcoming staff, proper service with a smile. I wish this was my local!
We stayed here for just one night and felt the accommodation is very good value. Our room was beautifully clean, tastefully furnished and had everything you could need, even a small kitchen area. We'd love to return and use it as a base to explore the area. |The bathroom was nice too, with a big shower cubicle. It's a converted old garage, very well done, and separate from the pub, just across the drive. Very quiet peaceful location.|Nice welcome from the landlady too!
It's nice to sit outside and have a drink as it was quiet but the food is average. They only do food Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 5pm
Very friendly village pub overlooking the duckpond in this lovely little village. Landlady and locals were very happy to talk to us advise us on local places to visit. The accomodation was in converted outbuildings next to the pub and was of a high standard and vey comfortable. Good accomodation at a nice pub what's not to like?!!
Very welcoming staff and locals. Never been there before and was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and service for the price.
Good choice of draughts also.
Would certainly pop my head in again if I was around the area in the future.
This has to be one of the best inns for miles around. Set in a quiet village overlooking a pond. The ale is good and the food also, what I would call authentic. Pam is a lovely woman whom will always greet you with a smile and pass the time og day with you. What makes it better it the low beamed ceiling and the classic style of bar. Well worth a visit in the summer for any tourist.....
Warm welcome - exceptionally good ale - hand pulled - good banter from the local shandy drinkers - really fun night - staff very helpful - we just called in for a pint n stayed for nearly a full gallon while playing pool
A lovely village pub with very friendly staff and best of all dog friendly. Good choice of drinks and lovely food. The pub is split into two rooms one with a pool table and darts board. I look forward to a return visit.
