Great local buffet. Excellent fried and baked chicken. Great creamed corn and mashed. Steak well well done almost to a crisp. The only clunker. Homemade cobbler and bread pudding. All for 9.95. hard to beat and great post church people watching too.
Easy, basic and bountiful buffet with a open dining ambiance. Restaraunt has conventional appearance and theming with a nice wall painted mural outside. The menu has a variety of offerings, typical of what you would find at most restaurants. Our party had a menu order and buffet order. Despite the buffet looking small it has a decent amount of items that are sure to cover most hungry palettes. Next visit will result in two buffet orders. Food itself is pretty decent depending on preference. Overall price and value was fair and probably one of the best in the area.
The restaurant itself is clean and the staff are absolutely wonderful, everyone is happy and the service is excellent! However everything that we ordered was either undercooked (the tater tot casserole and the French fries) or extremely over cooked (the chicken, the stir fry and the rice) everything was extremely bland and this is the only buffet I have left to go to McDonald's

But the food was Amazing! And reasonable
My husband had a half pound fresh burger and fries for 8.95
I ordered the grilled chicken plate and was surprised it came with two huge perfectly grilled chicken breast. Juicy not dry. A baked potatoe And sauteed zucchini squash
The vegetables were delectable!
Even his pickle was good
We were fighting over it
They do have a lunch buffet but we missed it by 20 mins(ends at 3pm)
And seafood buffet at 5pm

We made a great decision when we decided to eat lunch here when traveling to Tampa. Best green beans ever! (Yes, I like catsup on them!) The restaurant was very clean. The buffet food was hot and the salad bar was cold, as they should be. Pleasant staff too. The Gathering Table gets a top rating from us.
This is a good family restaurant. They have a different buffet every day(very good seafood on Friday as well as all you can eat prime rib). Full menu is also available. We often come here for special holidays.
This establishment has set the bar of excellence into uncharted territory when it comes to good, home cooked, southern food. The atmosphere was friendly and upbeat and the service was the same with their "treat you like family" southern hospitality. My server was a sweet, hard working southern bell named Brooklynne and she was absolutely perfect in attending our table needs as well as maintaining a friendly, positive, and helpful attitude that completed a lunch experience comparable to none that myself, or my family has had in quite a while. As a person who frequents local dining in this area daily, I would put my name, face, and first born (just kiddin!!!) on recommending this restaurant. If you ever get the chance, or you are driving through south Chiefland on U.S. 19 stop in and try a meal you wont soon forget. The Gathering Table itself, is a perfect reason to make a trip to Chiefland! Thank you Brooklynne and TGT I will return again soon.

We stopped by earlier this morning before they were even open. Ron, the kitchen manager let us have a seat and personally cooked us a wonderful breakfast. The food was good, but his willingness to make sure we ate made this amazing. He went beyond his duties and his care for this community is impeccable. Way to go guys. Awesome staff and service. We will definitely be back. Thanks for caring. The Gathering table is a fine example of how to treat your community.
