Best KPortal Reviews
Visiting Cornwall from Derbyshire for a week and after looking high and low we came across the Galleon in Mullion. We are deprived of decent fish and chips in the Midlands so it was amazing to come across this place. Easily the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. We ordered large fish and chips x2 with curry. The fish was absolutely huge and meaty, not drowned in batter like most places. The chips were golden and cooked to perfection. Curry sauce was great too.
I wanted to go in after finishing my meal outside to tell them how nice the food was but they were very busy!
A bit pricey but that’s the way of the world these days.
Will definitely visit again if I’m ever down this way. 5 star.
One of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had! The fish was so flavourful and just fell apart! The batter and chips were delicious too. The staff were friendly and would highly recommend if you’re in the area.
Had high expectations as multiple excellent reviews, but unfortunately as seen in photo chips and batter were well overdone to the point where it did not come up to standard. Perhaps an issue with the oil? The chips were also extremely soggy. The one star is for the fishcakes which were adequate.
Delicious food cooked to order and the portions are so generous I now order the child's portions and still can't finish them!
Plenty of vegan options for those who don't enjoy sea food, good quality coffee and hot chocolate and tables if you want to eat in.
A ramp makes access easy on my sticks or I can use my chair on a bad day, and staff are happy to help me get a large order to the car outside if I am grabbing meals for friends as well.
All in all a top chip shop worth the drive.
Really nice chips, good quality potatoes, crispy and good portions. Fish was nice little small but nice light batter but crispy. Mushy pea fritters are lovely from here too. Sausage in batter was battered a little to long and to crunchy.
We've had cod, chips and squid, chips. Both was very delicious. Staff was very friendly. It was a pleasure :-). Keep it up! Best wishes
Staying at parkdean Sea Acres Parkdean this is one of the closest chipshops satnav says 12 min drive and was still hot when we got back to the site we had some nice fish and chips curry sauce and some thing are not on menu like spam fritter which was about half thickness of a chippy I goto in Newquay which charges 25p more but other than that is well worth a visit if chippy is what you want
Lovely chips, batter is always crispy on the sausages as cooked fresh, staff are so friendly and helpful, great mushy peas; we visit every year when on holiday!
