Best KPortal Reviews
The Gage has been a favorite of mine ever since it opened. I haven't been in years and had a chance to stop by and so glad I did. Everything is still so great. The menu, the drinks, the atmosphere - they're all top notch.
This time around I had the lobster roll which was excellent. I also sampled some bites of the classic burger and the fish and chips.
Note to parents, there is no kids menu.
Definitely one of my favorite lunch spots in Chicago! So many great options to choose from. They also have an impressive craft beer selection for an upscale restaurant. I'm used to just seeing a few bottled beers in nicer restaurants like this (typically the big national brands or European brews), but Gage has 14 draft beers to choose from which many of them are craft with focus on Chicago local. As a beer nerd, I absolutely love that and appreciate it.
Overall, amazing food, great drinks and fantastic service. Truly hospitality at its best. Special shout-out to Fabio for making the best espresso martini in town!
Just had the opportunity to dine her while in the windy city. We showed up before our reservation time and they got us seated right away. I'd encourage you to eat outside. Waiter was great, did not rush us and then came the food. You have to get the fresh bread right away, so good. Also recommend the fired pickles. If you are a beer drinker go with the house pilsner.
You'll see the food pics. All dishes were good. The f4ied lobster won the day.
A great atmosphere and a better than expected food experience. Really liked the fact it says open later than most other places in the loop. Food was fresh and tasty. Ambiance was typical and friendly service. Solid experience, you can't go wrong here.
Lots of choice in the menu. It all looks delicious. The venison burger sure is! But if anything gets my top score that would be the fried pickles, what a yummy starter!!!
Friendly service and good location/terrace.
So my first time being here and it was a wonderful experience. Waiter was very courteous and competent towards my groups order and we had no issues besides missing a few sides for two of the entrees ordered. The pictures you see are a few drinks I tried first one is called a "Bourbon smash" (the yellow one) the second I called a "Oaxaca Colada". Both were fantastic but my favorite was the second. And the last picture is a Desert Nacho that was good and big enough to share.
We sat on the patio with a view of Millennial Park. Service was attentive but not in a rush. Thanks Abigail. Food was prepared wonderfully and the portions were unexpectedly large. I definitely recommend the Croque Madame. You won’t walk away hungry. Atmosphere reminded me of a Parisian cafe.
Great place for a little dinner date. Food is always phenomenal and so as the drinks! Service can sometimes be a little slow but that means they are just busy! One recommendation would be to make the chips a bit crispier!
