The atmosphere in this place is great. The staff and owners make you feel welcome, and at home. The food is fresh and filling. I noticed how very clean the bar and kitchen are right away. I could tell they take pride in their business.

I saw the license plates on the ceiling and came back to contribute my Nebraska plates to the collection. Had a good conversation with the owner and his wife as well.

I look forward to coming back soon.

I love this little place! Had been passing it for a few years now and finally stopped in as I was looking for a good lunch place near Hallock. I’m glad I did. Not sure what my server’s name was but she was very friendly and attentive and on top of everything! I ordered a patty melt which was outta this world. The inside of this place is very neat looking as well, I loved the decor! It was nice to know that they have a salad bar as well. Will definitely be back, I highly recommend stopping here for food and/ or a drink! Only thing you’ll want to know is that they are cash only, but there is an ATM on site. Prices are very good as well!

Great place to go for a meal when you're in this neck of the woods. We were staying in Hallock on a Sunday and nothing was open. The Frog Pond had great burgers, fries and cold beer. They also had a tips & toast over mashed potatoes special going on. The server wasn't trying to be my best friend or anything, but she was prompt and knew what she was doing. She had a lot of tables to juggle at once and did it well. @devinejd

Food was awesome! We ordered 2 different entrees and split them because they both were so yummy! Lots of seating, clean restaurant, bar area and restrooms too. A great little place to visit!
