I absolutely love the sandwiches here!! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but that doesn't matter, food is good and they do food well. There's probably 2 dozen different sandwich combinations you can get, all for under 5£, most usually 3£ or less. ALWAYS pay the fee pence more for the CRUSTY bread.
They also sell and assortment of pasties, drinks and many different kinds of sweet, cookies, desserts, ect.
1 of the best bakers I've found, I just happened to be working nearby and popped in for some lunch - I'm only disappointed that I live 200 miles away, otherwise I would be in there everyday! I had a sandwich, a sausage roll and a bit of cake, all excellent
Really good quality food at cheap prices. the lady behind the counter was friendly and there was a huge choice of desserts. It doesn't look like much from the outside but if you're looking for a takeaway lunch, go here.
Amazing food. Love getting lunch from here, great selection of sandwiches. And best sausage rolls I have ever eaten. Freshly made every day, definitely a must try
We bought a sandwich for lunch and a meal for later in the evening. The Sandwich was great really good meat and bread was soft on inside and crunchy on the outside which was fabulous, but the liver and bacon for everything meal was absolutely awful. Tough as old boots and almost inedible.. dog did like it though.
I have no idea how this place has bad reviews. I have been going on a regular basis for nearly 2 years.
The food for me has always been excellent. Try the sausage rolls they are delicious. The salad boxes have always plenty in them, in cooler months the soups are fantastic.
Didn't pay attention to my order didn't listen to my allergies gave me spring onion when I stated I couldn't have it due to an allergy (thank you for that I've been sick) missed out part of the filling on another sandwich so I only received half of it.
The sandwiches are shocking - which explains the low price. A foot of stale bread and a mouthful of mayo, with no room for any actual sandwich fillings. The sausage rolls used to be exceptional, but since a far more impressive competitor have opened, Fresh Food has paled in comparison on all fronts. A shame!
Edit. Since returned for a sausage roll. I don't know if I'm missing something, perhaps you're supposed to finish cooking them at home? They are all wrapped in a layer of half cooked, raw pastry! Mummm, delicious.
