We went for dinner. A bit out of the way, but worth it. We were the only ones dining, but were welcomed by the staff and the locals. Food was great, and so was the service. A Web site with a menu would help. We will be back.
Major change since the last tenants they opened when the wanted to. The family hired a cottage in the village to attend a family wedding, marquee was erected on the outside area to accommodate all. The service we received from Paul Sally and Gunner was 10/10 nothing was to much trouble. The food was amazing, especially the hangover cure breakfast. Will be back there again for new year. We never stayed at the pub but people that did said the rooms are stunning.
What a fabulous pub! Sally, Gunnar, and Paul are absolutely superb hosts. Food is exceptional and they cater for all tastes. They very kindly agreed to host our wedding and we are absolutely blown away with how truly amazing and special they made our day. A beautiful village pub, they have 3 fabulous rooms onsite which are tastefully decorated and very reasonably priced. A lovely beer garden which can be used for a host of events, an area where you can have a live band plus a nice breakout room where smaller events can be hosted. Whether you’re just looking for a nice meal out for 2, an afternoon drink in the beer garden, or a special celebration The Fox Inn Wilbarston certainly ticks all the boxes. We loved it so much already booked an event for next year.
Friendly village pub. Stayed in one of the newly refurbished rooms with fabulous decor. Excellent breakfast too! The pub has an extensive menu and the food is fantastic. Always a warm welcome with efficient service. Dog friendly. Lovely area for countryside walks, yet close to the pleasant town of Market Harborough.
Had a lovely couple of days in Wilbarston staying at The Fox. Sally and Paul went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at home. The room we stayed in was superb and had everything available that we needed. I have to have a GF diet and found some amazing locally hand made GF biscuits had been put in our room, needless to say they disappeared quickly. The bed was really comfortable and the pillows were superb, I'm only gutted that I forgot to ask the make so I could get some for home. It was great staying somewhere that had a shower as powerful as our one at home and having lovely fluffy towels to use after. There were also extra towels which is a rarity. We enjoyed the delicious full English breakfast provided and again my GF diet was provided for which meant I could have everything except the black pudding but I'm yet to find a GF black pudding anywhere so my search continues on that one. I was also spoiled with GF cereal and amazing bread that for once actually smelt like normal toast and I've been converted now to buying the same one. The breakfast we had saw us through the day and when I was offered lunch at about 3.30 I still wasn't actually hungry. We've eaten at The Fox before and the dishes Gunnar creates are divine, whatever you order you won't be disappointed. I was again spoiled with a delicious hand made GF Pizza, there's certain things on a GF diet that you really miss and this pizza satisfied a long standing craving for a proper pizza. Villagers locally to The Fox are extremely lucky to have this little gem of a pub close to them. I'm already looking forward to our next visit at the end of September where Sally and Paul have been flexible with our early arrival time and we have already booked a table for dinner. The only other thing I can say is thank you Sally, Paul and Gunnar!
Hired a cottage for a family wedding as the fox was booked up. The service we all received from Paul Sally and Gunner was second to none,the bar was well stocked the food is top notch could not fault anything. We will be returning for new year, brilliant local pub if you live in the village or surrounding area.
Had a great lunch, excellent quality for a good price, wish I knew the staff's names as very welcoming. Will be back as Christmas menu looks yummy.
One of the friendliest pubs I've visited people really friendly especially Paul Sally and Gunner. Food is top notch menu is great nothing is too much trouble. Located in a beautiful area a .ust if you are in the area.
