Arrival you go into the restaurant where you go through the side gate and up some metal stairs. Security cameras and locked doors. We had room 3 and was very spacious and soft comfy bedding and towels. Complete with tea, coffee, sugar and uht milk. Mini fridge perfect for a 1pint milk. Only downside we couldn't get WiFi and bin men noisy at 630am. BREAKFAST IS NOT INCLUDED AND IS NOT OPEN IN MORNING
Very rude and abrupt! Couldn't careless about paying guests. Lots of stairs, no help with luggage. Room very compact with bed pushed against the wall and on the small side.don't waste your money.
Not easy to find if you don't know you need to go into the restaurant to check in. We arrived approx 1.30 & told check in is at 2 - we knew this but thought we might be able to just dump our bags. We went for a bite to eat & returned about 3, when we were asked , how many ... there was 3 of us which I'd put on the booking. We were told that one bed wasn't made up, so rather than wait longer we said we would make our own bed up. We paid £105 for one night. ||Walk down a narrow alley way & up a set of external steel stairs. |We were in room 1. 2 double beds, TV, drink making facilities - which we had to ask for another cup & extra towels - which they brought 1 hand towel. |The room & bathroom were clean with the exception of a stain on the toilet. The beds were comfortable. The blind in the room was broken, wasn't able to open fully. |All in all im pleased with what we paid each for the night, probably not so pleased if id come as a couple. |No breakfast & the restaurant was closed so I dont think they offer that facility but there are lots of places in whitby to have a great breakfast. |
Had dinner tonight. Great food and really friendly staff who made you feel very welcome. Just across the swing bridge in East Whitby. Will go back ????????
Always love this restaurant never fails beautiful food lovley staff go there every time we visit Whitby
Didn't stop but the food in the restaurant was great, service was very friendly, couldn't have tried harder, nice lad serving drinks, overall one place I'll go again to.
My initial concern began when you had to enter the restuarnt itself to be checked in. The room was shown was suitable and we thought value for money. We stayed in room 3.|||There was, however, clear things that let it down. ||We had our soon with us and hadn't been provided a quilt or pillow for his bed and so scarificed our own to ensure that he was warm enough. ||The shower cubical door didn't shut correctly and we had to put a towel down as no matt had been provided. ||Towels varied in size as did the pillows, we cannot say we had the most comfortable of nights and the blind doesn't block all of the sun out, so it was an early start.||Contact with the hosts could be better rather than going into a restaurant which is already so busy. ||Just feels like the owners here are trying to be cheap and make as much money as they possibly can, a few improvements and this.would be fantastic.
So lovely. Great price. Great staff. Lovely room.
