A wonderful historic pub, with a friendly, interesting landlord who has much knowledge of the history of the pub and the surrounding area. The food was amazing, freshly prepared and cooked and it tasted as good as it looked. It was excellent value and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. We will definitely return.
Lovely little pub, very friendly and lovely food. We arrived just as they were closing but they were really kind and accommodating.
Sunday lunch today, this place is a new find, and serves wonderful homemade food, yep, not home made heated in the microwave, but proper home made food!
I had a wonderful soup to start, and the veg curry, and the rest of the table went for the Sunday roast beef, I should have, but was not disappointed by the curry either.
We enjoyed a warm welcome, and the reserved table was ready for us.
This is a total jewel in the beautiful Kent countryside, in a nice old sleep village...

It was very quiet for Saturday lunchtime but the manager was very friendly and thoughtful. We had a lovely meal. I missed my end of meal coffee because the machine was broken... but that's not his fault, so I'm still giving 5 stars for the lovely service and food. Would like to go again soon.
Lovely village pub with a traditional English atmosphere. Staff is amazing. Went there a couple of weeks ago for a roast dinner. It was great just like homemade food, fresh and full of flavour. I definitely recommend this pub.
Enjoyed our lunchtime meal here last week. Good, traditional food at very reasonable prices. A friendly welcome from the landlord and an attractive, spacious pub.
