We just moved to the area and my husband suggested we try to find a mom/pop restaurant to try. This is the first one that came up. We absolutely loved the whole experience! The restaurant is clean, service was outstanding, food was fresh and delicious! We sang along with all the oldies that were playing. They won my heart with their corn nuggets. I haven’t seen those since I visited Texas years ago. I really enjoyed reading the unique names of all the different dishes. We figured out the restaurant was family owned and operated. They all came out and introduced themselves and we had a great conversation. This likely will be our new spot ????
This place is so cute. It is super affordable for lunch as well. I had the club sandwich and it was the biggest sandwich I ever had. I ended up taking more than half home and it was my dinner. The french fries were perfect. My husband had roast beef sandwich. He really liked it. Something to note, bread is not toasted. His preference for roast beef sandwich is to have it toasted. We realize thats not how most places do it. It was more of an oversight on his end. The server was amazing. The staff are so friendly. The sweet tea was perfect as well I want to add. Please don't hesitate to eat here.
Second visit here. Our party thoroughly enjoyed our first visit so we are repeat customers. We sat at the bar, again, and received excellent service. We met some folks who are regulars there, had great conversation with several waitstaff, customers, as well as the owners/cooks, and enjoyed the friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Our home cooked breakfast meals were delicious and filling. You will definitely not walk away hungry. Their waffles taste like funnel cake. Ummmm. Yep. Throughout the week, there are various desserts that are not on the menu...Specials. If luck is on your side, you will get to taste THE carrot cake. We will return!
The waiter and waitress were friendly and attentive. The diner themed restaurant was inviting and easy to find. The menu had breakfast and lunch options with clever diner themed names. The food was served hot and was delicious. You could tell it was made to order. I would definitely recommend coming to this place. It was just what we were looking for.
Quiet, Polite, Great Service! 50's vibe and reminds me of a Bert'sish feeling ???? (St.Marys reference). Food was awesome and generous portions at a reasonable price ????. Another local hidden gem ????, but hurry they close at 3pm daily and 2pm on Sundays!
Decided to give The Flashback a shot yesterday and it was delicious! Service was quick, food came out flawless, and there were plenty of options to choose from on the menu. I love going anywhere that has breakfast and lunch options for a group. I’ll definitely be back in the future.
While the server we had was awesome, the management HORRIFIC. I was having a conversation about my upcoming divorce which obviously was already a touchy subject so I didn’t pay attention to what my burger looked like, but it had the consistency and taste of a burger that was in the oven and not cooked all the way. I happened to look at it and it was still pink inside. I’m the type of person I would have allowed them to take that half of the burger , and just cooked it a little longer..but the manager was disrespectful when she approached the table. It was so bad I refused to eat another bite as she embarrassed me in front of my soon to be ex husband abs the customers. My ex husband approached her and said something of our experience which she argued with him!! And she was definitely very wrong. Definitely needs more management skills, hospitality skills, and knowledge of food safety and health department knowledge as she does not know much to talk about the subject. The fact that this was my first experience/visit at this place it was more than enough that I do not want to come back!! It’s definitely “flashback” in every sense of the word. My husband is a white male and was treated with respect, but me, the black woman was made to be disrespected. I will not let this go unnoticed and had she not been disrespectful, she would have known I’ve been in food service and a kitchen manager for YEARS. I’m still one now. I’ll definitely take my money elsewhere. I’m not even a hard person to please but instead of acting a complete fool after being mistreated, I paid my bill, left my tip and left. Please hire a new manager!! The only reason I’m even giving three stars is because of the server.
Severs were so nice. Was very surprised by how good the prices were. The sandwich was filled with so many toppings it was overflowing and probably could’ve made a second sandwich!
