Peri Peri Chicken was super tasty. Staffs were so friendly. Definitely would recommend friends/family to go there to visit & try out delicious Chicken.
Ordered whole chicken meal deal 15.99 2 sides 2 drinks.
Very tasty moist chicken medium spice cook to to perfection. Friendly staff. Happy customer will be our new favourite takeaway
Thanks to all at Flaming Chicken.
P.s shared with my BF only half on my plate ????
Really friendly and approachable staff, and really really yummy food, specially the hot wings :)
I highly rate this place. Good to see original fried chicken in Folkestone. They accidentally forgot my drink but the driver managed to drop it back with spicy wings on the house! 10/10 ????????
me and my boyfriend moved to the area recently so have tried loads of takeaway places and this is the BEST BY FAR!!! chicken is so lush, really tender and delicious, fries are tasty, it was all great value for money. the staff are lovely. just 10/10 munch <3
Best takeaway I ever had, been there for
Holiday, ordered full peri peri chicken, hot wings, strips, masala chips, everything 10/10,
Worried we haven’t got such tasty restaurants where I live (LUTON)
Friendly staff, tasty food, very reasonable price.
Wanted to try the new alternative to KFC in town since I noticed it had opened.
I opted to collect as I live locally. The menu is pretty good with a large range of options of fried chicken as well lad peri chicken. I went for the meal deal for 2 (4 x chicken 6 X hot wings 2 X gravy and 2 X drinks) for £16.99. Not that cheap compared to The Colonels original recipe being served up just around the corner. Wanted to give it a try though.
I was served very quickly as it was pretty quiet (Friday 7.30pm). The food took a while to come out as I think they had to prepare the chips. No dramas. I'd prefer fresh chips that are piping hot over ones that are cold by the time you get in your front door.
Once home I delved in as I was Hank Marvin. This is where it went a bit south.
The chicken pieces looked delicious and not shy on size. My only issue was it appears to have been sitting on the hot plate for a while after sinking my teeth in. Dry and quite salty. Luckily the gravy came into play. Not helping on the salt issue, it did add some well deserved moisture to the main event. In fact, the gravy was very nice. I struggled to finish both chicken pieces as the sodium levels were a tad over powering.
On to the hot wings. These were actually ok. Completely different to the Colonels version but pretty decent in all. Not amazingly spicy but a few drops of the hot sauce they'd put in with them soon gave them the bite they deserved.
The chips were good too. Coupled with the gravy offering they were a match made in heaven.
In all, it was ok. It's still new so might need a bit longer to settle down and get where it needs to be. A shame the chicken seasoning was so salty as I was hoping for an alternative to KFC in the town centre. I'll try them again in a few weeks to see if it's any better or whether it's just the way their chicken is. I'll also try their peri chicken too as it looks delicious on the menu. I'll adjust the review accordingly.
I really hope, like any new business, this place does well. It's in a prime but competitive location with Maccys, Fireaway Pizza and Taco Bell calling themselves neighbours and The Colonel tucked away around the corner. Best of luck guys.
The piri piri chicken is just too good. Hidden gem. I get the whole piri chicken with medium lemon to go so can mix with rice salads etc at home. The flavour is amazing whilst the chicken is not dry at all. I’ve had their normal chicken and gravy, rice and chips which are all great but the piri piri is what sets it apart from other chicken shops. Perfect for finishing late shifts or lazy days in front of the tv!
