He was able to tell me what was wrong with my car over the phone just by me telling him what some of the issues were. Got my car towed there and it was done not even 2 hours later! Awesome!! The price was definitely in my price range. So grateful for people like him! Good, honest, reliable man. God bless him, his family and business. Need work done, definitely go to him. I took my vehicle to this spot in Yuba City. At first I thought that they were really good people. I wanted to become friends with them. They did work on my front end (inner and outer tie rods, upper and lower control arms, sway bar links), shocks, transmission lines and headlights. After having to go back a couple of times to the Fix-It Spot and going to numerous other shops it was concluded that they forgot to bolt down my shocks, my whole driver side sway bar link was missing, they were supposed to replace the idler arm and pitman arm in order for me to have a successful alignment, but they did not suggest it, and numerous other issues. I was told that the owner AJ has a really bad gambling problem which has caused problems with his company's finances, as well as does not have the knowledge to be working on vehicles, which is evident in the failure to repair my vehicle properly. Even though they are catered to low income people, it is not worth getting your vehicle fixed here because you will end up spending double the money to fix it right. It is also unfathomable that they do not want to take responsibility for their actions. Believe me when I tell you that your life can be put in danger because their inability to be honest, as well as they lack knowledge to properly repair your vehicle. It is also unfortunate that they want to try to say that I removed the part from my vehicle just to get my money back, they also said that I'm doing this in retaliation because one of their employees flaked on me for a date and basically that I'm trying to extort them. None of these accusations are true, they are attempts to make me look bad to discredit my claims. By the way I haven't been able to get my alignment done yet because I'm still working on repairing what they damaged.
Just to give an update on my first review, I won the court case against The Fix-It Spot. With all of the evidence the judge decided that they were culpable for their actions. I was awarded a settlement. The unfortunate part is that Ajay came up to me after the court hearing and told me that he is going to pay in small increments and he's going to drag it out as long as possible. It's unfortunate that not only did he put my life in danger by his negligence, but now he is wanting to penalize me for him being held responsible for his actions.
I wish I had read these one star reviews before taking my car here but it was a personal referral so I didn't (last time I do that). Ajay quoted me for an itemized list of repairs including a new rotor and break lights (which he didn't actuality fix but added it to the final receipt as if he had). When it came time to pick up my car, the receipt showed the same original quoted price but the items repaired didn't include the rotor. He told me he didn't put in a new one because I didn't need it but when I simply asked why he still charged me for it, his whole demeanor changed from friendly to a jerk! He then told me he can just put the new rotor on if that would make me happy even though he himself told me I didn't need it. How that made sense to him is beyond me. I essentially asked for my money back, for the rotor he charged me for but didn't replace, to which his response was to throw a $100 bill at me and yelled at me to never come back to his shop. My 'check engine' and VSC light came back on btw. I regret ever stepping foot in this "fix it" shop. If you don't want to be ripped off and disrespected, stay away from this place!
I brought my daily driver, 2000 Nissan Xterra, in for front pad and rotor replacement.
I was able to supply my own parts. The job was done in 90 minutes (I came in at 9am).
That's impressive given the unique hub design of the Xterra.

AJ and the rest of the team at the shop has went above and beyond many time's working on my girlfriends van and my mom's car at a fraction of what it cost at other shops. They really help the people in this community and take pride in their work. Providing the best work for a quality price!

I can't say enough about the hospitality and efficiency and niceness of this shop. Professional people and funny. Most of all they care about the customers and do a great job! They helped me out on a Sunday and ordered the part and had it there within an hour when no one else had the part and I thought I would miss work on Monday. Even Honda was closed on Sunday and couldn't get the part. But they bought the part from Napa and had it delivered to them to install for me. This was the best experience I ever had at a car shop. I highly recommend them. They help the community out and I was a Charity case for them. ! Thank god for the fix it spot! Your my ????. I truly appreciate you being there for me in my desperate need!
I am typically not one for leaving reviews however:
this is one of the absolute best shops in the entire CA region. By the best, I mean the best! everything down from customer service, honesty, integrity, to their dedication & commitment towards their hard work — 11 out of 10 stars, absolutely broke the scale, HIGHLY recommend for “small-ish” auto service repair needs!! (i.e. brakes, struts, shocks, oil changes, starter replacements, o2 sensor replacements, tune ups, oil leaks, cv axles, tie rods, etc.)
After severe brake neglect and being charged close to $1,000 for estimated repairs from a financed auto shop in Sac, I was beyond blessed to have been referred to the Fix IT Spot. THANK YOU TO AJAY AND RON who were able to inspect my brake fluid leak as well as give me a new set of brakes with an oil change for WELL OVER 70-80% CHEAPER of what the original shop, or any other shop, would have charged me for everything. On top of that, they were even able to fix one of my callipers rather than replacing it. However my favorite part — they did not judge me nor discriminate for the condition my poor brakes were in.
I cannot thank you enough for all of your help and hard work! Thank you Ron & Ajay!!!
If I could leave a million stars I would. Yesterday AJ checked out a leak in my truck. I was referred by my Tia who AJ has done great work for in the past. He didn't know me and I had never been there before. It was pouring rain and he had other jobs that he was already working on but yet he took the time to take a look for me and was able to quickly pinpoint the cause and then he fixed it for me on the spot.
Little did you know AJ, what I had gone through the day before and that day. While I was waiting in your shop I was reading all the inspirational things that you have up on the wall. You mentioned that those are the things that keep you from quitting some days. Sometimes a kind act and a kind person can give inspiration to somebody else to not quit either. You were that for me yesterday. Thank you for what you do for our community and thank you for turning your own hurdles into victory not only for yourself but for those of us that you touch by doing the things that you do. 1 million stars to you and your shop.
