Excellent food, really nice and good value. Had the sizzling Saturday offer and it was beautiful. Play area well maintained and lovely for sitting out.
Really nice pub! We are not local to this area and were meeting up with family and picked this place from reviews. We were so relieved when we went and found out it to be a great place! The food was lovely, served piled high, on big plates - definitely 'Yorkshire' portions, but fantastic!! The staff really couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Going out of their way to be as helpful as possible. The menus are good. My mum is gluten free and they were extremely helpful and had a nice range of gluten free options. Even though it's not really the right time of year, our children had good fun on the lovely playground too. It was really well equipped and nicely done! We hope to visit again in the nice weather where it looks to be a lovely garden for the sunshine! Thanks for a lovely visit. Would definitely recommend.
First time we went for Sunday carvery the food looked lovely with lots of choice. But the plates were freezing which made all the food cold before you had chance to sit down. So we gave it a few weeks and tried again to see if it had changed. Plates still freezing. Please warm your plates and make sure your food is piping hot then you would get fantastic reviews.
Visted for the first time and found the young male bar tender to be very uninterested, Rude and generally couldn't be bothered attitude, he simply couldn't be bothered to speak to us and felt like he was huffing at us, felt extremely uncomfortable so sat outside, I have never felt so out of place and generally not wanting to be here, wouldn't recommend this place, drank up and left as quick as possible! However Amber was very friendly and apologised for the rude behaviour of her colleagues.. appauled at the customer service level of these clearly uninterested bar staff! Avoid at all costs!!
An hour wait for food with no warning. Took over 15 minutes from the apology and assurance it would be just 5 minutes. Clawed 2 stars as food was ok, when it came. Must say, place was empty, would have understood on a busy day.

Fabulous play area for the kids with plenty of seating.
Not bad for a local pub. I have been there both for a meal and for drinks. They have good prices in general and big portions when it comes to food. Fairly Good quality of food and service.
Had lunch here today with friends
