I usually don't eat fish and I don't like fishy smell. But this fish and chips was great, there was no fishy smell, the food was fresh and crispy, and the views was fabulous. However, the prices were the highest in comparison with the other fish and chips restaurants that I tried before. Also, the lemonade can does not worth £2.5 since it was very hot and there was no ice.
I ate here with my family for lunch and had a great experience. We all had the soup of some sort. The food was very good and came out fast. The server was very friendly and helpful. We had a good experience.
the portions are big and make us totally full, so it’s good based on value for money. their toffe sticky pudding is great! sweet enough but not too much, warm, and served with ice cream, totally fab. their staffs is great as well, very accommodating.
Excellent seafood restaurant. We arrived just before the Jacobite train arrived, 5 mins later it was full so get your timing right or book.
We treated ourselves to the seafood platter for 2 at £80. It was fantastic served with bread and salad 2 halves of lobster, 8 langoustin and a mountain of mussels all beautifully cooked. Service was friendly and efficient.
We would thoroughly recommend the Fish market restaurant
Ignore the negative comments! Our lunch was divine. From mussels to fish and chips to the scallops…it was all very fresh and delicious! Great lunch mid train ride!
Fabulous ????
Don’t let the unassuming interior put you off, the service was very good and the food was exceptional.
We had mussels to share as a starter, they were succulent and the white wine sauce was delicious. We followed with the Dover sole and the seared scallops with prawns and chorizo in a langoustine sauce, delicious!!
Not cheap but worth every penny ????
A must if you coming to Mallaig! Step of the train and get yourself a PrawnSecco breakfast before you do anything else in Mallaig. A family business dedicated to super fresh and utterly delicious food.
I would whole-heartedly agree with local guide below Doona - excellent fish and chips. Spotlessly clean establishment. Professional, no-nonsense staff. They don’t suffer fools I can assure you.
