Best KPortal Reviews

The service was Great and friendly! The atmosphere was dull but the music was cool. Dull because chairs were sitting on the table like the hut was about to close floor was dusty, dessert cooler was empty…No Glow.
My wife had fried fish & okra, I had fried fish & fries. The fries needed some salt they were bland the fish had good seasoning on it but the flavor from the cooking grease that needed changing came through the fish giving the fish a bad taste and smell.
Fabulous southern, Cajun food. Just what we’ve been looking for, in the area for years.
Good customer service. We had the Seafood boil, and the shrimp boil, excellent. Small place, needs a few more utensils to eat on site, some paper for the tables, larger napkins, but overall… a small family operated business, not too glamorous, just great fresh food. Definitely will be back here!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I loved it. First time coming for my fiancés birthday and it was worth every single penny. My fiancé and I got the crab boil and if u always wanted to try it, try it from here 1000/10
Me and my sister decided to try out a new fish spot and let me tell you it was really good. We had the pleasure of meeting the owner Toya, Very sweet lady!! Good music while you wait for your food, good energy all around. Oh yea and not to mention they have a variety of things to choose from off the menu.. Thanks Toya and the cooks as well! We most definitely will be back ????
I really wanted to try their gumbo but, they didnt have any when I got there and said it would take an hour. I said i would wait for it and they were able to make me a fresh batch in under that time! Great people, service, and food! Will definitely be back!
The food was amazing and I really enjoyed the food. The only thing I could say about it is that it needs more workers to make it easier on the staff. The staff was very kind and the atmosphere was really welcoming. The prices are a little high, but the food and the staff are absolutely amazing.
This is the second time I have tried this place and this will be my last for a few reasons. When I first tried them back in November, I remembered thinking the food was good. I ordered the fried catfish meal with Mac n cheese and collard greens side and a cup of gumbo and prepaid online. I remember thinking the portions of the sides were small. Not what you see in the picture they have on their website. I wasn't pleased with that. I told myself I would give it another try since the food seemed to have tasted good. However, today I did the same thing by ordering online. I ordered the fried catfish with the Mac n cheese, large seafood gumbo and Banana pudding. After paying for the order I received calls by the restaurant telling me I will need to show my ID and the card I paid with. I asked why? She said due to fraudulent activities from previous orders and to ensure that I was who I said I was with the card I used to pay. I understood needing to verify my identity. When arriving to the restaurant, I provided her with my ID and the last 4 numbers of my debit card. She wrote it down in a notebook and asked me to sign under where my ID where she wad going to take a picture. I immediately was put on edge. I felt uncomfortable and that now my security was being compromised. I understood the need to check my ID, but to take a photo of my personal information along with my signature did not settle right with me. She kept telling me that's their policy. However, that should be disclosed before I already MADE the payments. Not after the fact and BEING FORCED for them to take a photo of my ID before giving me my food. No refund was offered for those that didn't feel comfortable with having their personal information along with their signature to be photographed. That puts your customers at risk and possibly compromising my security now too. That is one reason why I am not returning. The other reasons was the taste and the quality of food was HORRIBLE. Nothing tasted the same. I'm not sure if there is a new cook or recipes. But the food was night and day with how it tasted today. The catfish lacked flavor/seasoning. The cornmeal had a good taste but the fish itself was very plain. The portion of the sides were small again. The Mac n cheese was not good at all. It tasted like it wasnt fully cooked/baked and just peppered. When I thought I was getting seafood gumbo with crab legs I didn't realize that they cook the crab legs and crack them for you and put in the gumbo. I looked through my gumbo to barely find any crab meat. And, you know what crab meat taste like from chicken. She said she made sure but there was 1 or 2 pieces of crab in the gumbo. Making it overpriced to barely get any crab. I'd rather have the crab legs in my gumbo. The banana pudding was the obly thing that was enjoyed. This was a disappointment in today's meal and money spent. I don't like to leave horrible reviews, but Im also sad to see such a day and night difference in the food I tried today from the time I tried in November.
Gurllllllll let me tell you although this is a restaurant. You could definitely tell this was home cooked from a home grown woman who learned how to fry in the kitchen. The food as you can see was fantastic. Cooking soul food comes from the heart and soul and you can tell she put all of that into my plate I was tired today and couldn’t cook for my family but she did that. The customer service was amazing. They were so good to me. I could honestly cry how good they were to me and the many other customers that were there today. I can’t begin to praise them anymore than I already have to get the chance stop and grab a bite and be amazed. Also I’ve never eaten alligator I loved it. The combination of spices and flavor “make you wanna slap yo mama “jk thank you ladies !
