Great food, everything fried. Only opened Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There is always a line but it moves fast. Outside seating at picnic tables. We waited about 45 minutes to get our food, but it’s a seafood place and it was Friday during Lent. Picnic tables are shared and the time went quickly, talking to different people. We look forward to coming every year when we’re in Florida. I suggest coming during off times as the parking lot is small.
I'm giving this place a three-star rating, because I view it simply, as being pretty mediocre and is a food shack that pretty much has limited seafood menu options, alongside that point, for such limitations; the prices were pretty jacked! Didn’t have too much to my liking when it came to the menu, so hence why the selection of fries. In addition, for just an order of fries, the wait and or service time was pretty ridiculous; I say this because I know it was more than a good 15-20 minutes when I took the approach to get a status update on my order. Overall, this is where I'm going to end the review. ~05/11/2024~
Great service, very friendly staff who are also informative! Ordered the hog fish sandwich and fish croquettes. The croquettes are these delicious fish cakes deep fried- wow! It was my favorite item that I ordered. Definitely recommend. The hog fish was a yummy sweet fish fried and placed on a sweet hamburger bun with a thin leaf of lettuce. Tartar sauce is a must , otherwise it can be a rather dry sandwich. I’ll be back- certainly a hidden gem.
Great fresh fried seafood. I had the captains platter and it great. Loved the grits too. Took about 30 mins to order and get my food but worth it. Lots of outdoor seating. Friendly staff.
Parking was available for a boat trailer and Pet Friendly!! The food was great and I would recommend getting their “large” portion and sharing it with two; So much food and comes with two sides. The home made sweet tea was very good!!
I'm still dreaming about their grouper. Everything was fantastic. Grouper, shrimp, cole slaw, cornbread, fries, key lime and peanut butter pie. Great ice tea as well. Perfection!
The food was amazing ????????You have to wait for it but it was worth it. They are open only 3 days but the lady said that you can call and order if the line it’s longer than 40 minutes. Next time I have to try key lime pie and you can bring your own beer ????. Highly recommended if you are in the neighborhood
The fish house is a wonderful place to get your grouper sandwich it is so delicious! Captains meal great love the fried shrimp scallops and clam strips. Baked beans are so good and coleslaw! Smoked mullet and the mullet spread yum! Can't count how many times we've eaten there in 13 years lov. Love this place will be back soon! Highly Recommend this place ????
