Best KPortal Reviews
Pros: great food for a great price; it's hard to beat the quality for the price here and we enjoyed almost everything we had. The daily deals are great. The wood grill adds a great flavor that not a lot of places do (or if they do, it's expensive). The amount of light in the place is also great, huge windows on all sides just makes for a nice atmosphere -- if you can't sit outside on the patio, you can still at least feel like you're outside. It's also nice to see the wood grill in operation -- just adds to the experience. We also had a great server.
Cons: I really love the decor/layout of the place (see above) but I gave it a 3/5 on atmosphere because of the loudness of the interior. I think it's the fans in the middle that add such a loud background noise... some sound absorbing would help. I would sit outside in nice weather for this reason alone. Additionally, the fries were a little inconsistent (nothing crazy).
My wife and I have been here several times and will go again -- just a solid, unique restaurant with lots to love at a reasonable price.
We ordered buffalo chicken and southern chicken. I am not sure if they added buffalo sauce. It was very subtle to a point you wouldn’t have guessed it was a buffalo chicken sandwich. Both sandwiches almost looked the same and tasted the same. The menu is very limited. I wish they would add more options.
Fireside is the most underrated restaurant in the east end! The food is amazing and their beverage selection is solid. Their burgers are amazing (especially on $10 burger night), the wood fired wings are fantastic, and don’t even get me started on the Hush Puppies! Don’t forget to look ant their daily specials too. Inside the restaurant can get a little tight when it’s busy but when the outside is open it isn’t as bad inside. The entire kitchen is open to the restaurant and watching them use the open fire pit grill is free entertainment for the kids. The staff has always been extremely polite and even when it gets busy they are apologetic and do their best to keep glasses full, which I very much appreciate.
Get the pierogis!!! Get the horseradish aioli on everything you order!! Get the crab hush puppies!!! Get one of everything!!! You won’t be disappointed! We can hardly wait to go back!!!
Some of the best food I think I've had in Pittsburgh! Everything was so flavorful and the wings were cooked perfectly with a lot of delicious sauces to choose from, fries were the best! Our server was also great and very kind and all around this was definitely just a 5 star experience, both inside and outside seatings are very nice and cozy as well. Can't recommend enough
Very welcoming environment. Glen was a very nice waiter. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the grilled wings over the fried. The honey mustard sauce for the wings was perfect. I had the Fire Side burger, and it was all I could ask for and more. It's what a burger should be. Overall, YES, I would come back, and I strongly recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!
Best fish sandwich with fresh cut fries. Though busy, Glenn quickly & efficiently took our order & recommended we try the Long Island Ice Tea $7 special. Service was fast, served with friendly smiles & a happy experience.
Service was quick and we sat right down, having an Open Table reservation. The food was pretty good. We had the nachos with shredded chicken but the cheese was cold. The goat cheese and spinach salad (I subbed mixed greens) was delicious. I also got the shrimp on top with balsamic dressing. My fiancé got the Philly cheese steak and he thought it was pretty good. Service was phenomenal. I would recommend.
