This is one of our favorite local spots. Each time I try something new, I’m not disappointed. The food comes out in a timely manner and the portions are generous. Jamie’s service was in point today. She made sure our cups were never empty! One of my favorites is the banana nut bread French toast and any of their Benedict’s. Their Cuban shrimp bowl and their grit and Bennie’s is what we tried today and it was delicious.
Our server had a bright smile on her face the entire time and it felt great to be served with such positive energy early in the morning!
We ordered a margarita flight with some delicious waffle, chili, corned beef breakfast, sausages, bacon, and coffee (just to name a few). It was our first time since we were only in town for the long weekend. Definitely will revisit when we go to Virginia Beach again.

A solid breakfast selection. They have a lot of good breakfast options to pick from. The carnitas burrito and bowl are delicious. I enjoyed the “2 up, 2 down French toast,” but felt the French toast was really thick to truly enjoy. The savory hot sauce was magical.
The Egg Bistro was found on Google for a Saturday morning breakfast date. We were surprised to find it in an area we used to frequent. The atmosphere is decorated friendly, colorfully, and open. The menu selection has several Mexican food options (which is a favorite). I picked a Bloody Mary from the 2 sided drink menu and was not disappointed. Our food choices were both breakfast foods. The server was happy to make suggestions and point out some regular favorite tastes.
My only issue is the back wall seating. Upon return I will definitely ask to be seated in a chair or a booth. The design of the bench was not pleasant on my back and I could not sit straight. We do plan to go back for a lunch date, keep in mind that they close by 2pm.
Excellent service from Kent! Very attentive to ensuring that you have plenty of coffee, water, etc., outstanding. Delicious food, comfortable, fun atmosphere. Highly recommend the bacon wrapped grilled asparagus, lychee blossom Mimosa and the burgers.
I LOVE Everything about this location! The service was great and they were very friendly and fast. The mimosas that I got come with 5 choices of juice and pulp so you can get a different combination each time you go for a new experience each time. I got The Sandbridge omelet it was huge and PACKED! It was delicious I love that they had options to replace for people that are living low carb or no carb lifestyles. So there is no paying for anything your not going to eat. Everything was delicious and came in a great time even though it was pretty busy they managed it very well. Definitely a place I will be returning to and adding to my list of suggestions.
The food was so good, I had the French toast and it was so sweet and amazing. The mimosas weren't as cold as I'd like them but they were tasty and the flight was fun. Our waitress was amazing even letting us know there may be a wait but there wasn't everything was super fast but I appreciated the heads up.
We were greeted by the hostess who was great. It was about a 10 minute wait then we were seated a second hostess. The table was dirty, the initial hostess saw my expression and left her post to clean the table. We ordered the flights which were sheer perfection!!!!!! Thanks to our waitress for her recommendations. I ordered a steak medium, grits with cheese, and eggs sunny side up. The steak was undercooked (rare). The waitress mentioned that she couldn’t take the food back but would get a manger to come look. Worst mistake ever. She goes on about how they cook to temperature but ultimately agreed to take it back. The manner comes back 3 minutes later. Per the owner she begins “We can recook the steak you have because if we cook you another one we’d have to charge you for it.” Now I’m pissed. I agree but the steak was returned to me well (pic provided). The owner comes out and asks how everything is. In my head I’m thinking that he has some nerve. I paid 5 minutes later and left. I’ve been to some good and not so good places. This is BY FAR THEE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD¡ I won’t be going back.
