A superb cafe with style and elegance. Old style food with old style service with a smile. Greeted with a friendly smile and "hello".
The menu although simple looked comprehensive and nothing seemed too much trouble, the chef would have even accommodated change to foods for intolerances and allergies unlike some restaurants who'd just advise what can and can't be eaten this chef makes the food on the menu fit with your dietary requirements.
May not be the cheapest in town but it is the best.
The best food, the best menu and the very best in service. If you're in Retford call in for a coffee/tea and a cake. You'll be hooked and be back again and again.

Lovely unpretentious comfortable place this. Unspectacular but well prepared food. Big portion sizes. Calm down to earth atmosphere with perfect friendly service.
Nice place to meet and enjoy a tasty snack(scrambled eggs and smoked salmon) or a full meal. The breakfasts are also very popular. Service is friendly and efficient.
I have been visiting the Drawing Room for a number of years. I have never had a bad meal. Food is delicious, staff are friendly. We love it.
