This was our first stop before our staycation in Deganwy (5th March 2020 - before the lockdown). It definitely was a nice place to start our Wales holiday especially loving the Welsh Dragon painted on the roof of the café - definitely put us in high spirits for our trip. The food was great - homely and hearty food in large portions which is exactly what you want after a long drive. Our table of four ordered a Jacket Potato, two breakfast burgers and a sandwich and a side of chips. We really enjoyed the food and we had tea/orange juice. It is self service so you have to walk up to the counter to order but as soon as we were sat down we were given menus and were told that we had to go to the till to order and the service was prompt. We also got a nice table by the window on a nice sunny day - would definitely visit again if passing through this way.
Plentiful large breakfast but no taste in the sausages and bitter tomatoes. Also even though the lady who brought me my cup of tea bid me a good morning i didn't so much as get a smile from anyone else. The lovely decor though was very pleasant
Good friendly service - prices a little high (4.50 for the soup of the day - with roll).
Had a good cheese sandwich with tomatoes - bread was a bit plastic (they didn't offer wholemeal or brown bread). Pot of tea for two and scone with cream and jam were excellent.
Need a stop on the A 55. Was a lovely surprise! Lovely cup of tea and lovely sandwich. Nice gifts. And pleasant staff. If you want proper tea in a cup and proper food in a relaxing atmosphere stop here!! Beats Mac donalds hands down
How this place has 4.5 stars is beyond me. We were told the food would be 15-minutes, it was 40-minutes...and it was poor. I had the beef curry special and they had clearly used the same sliced packet roast beef that they were using for the roast dinner. The worst curry I’ve ever had bar none - I left it. On top of this we were told off by the chef for amusing our son (during the 40-minute wait) with the toys in the corner. Apparently whilst they are toys they are for decoration only. PUT A SIGN THEN! Avoid.
???? Couple of vegan options, best bet is a jacket potato. Clean and spacious, freshly baked cakes and the like on offer as well as drinks. Alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, milkshakes, coffee and tea - only normal tea though and normal milk. Alright for a pitstop, lots of options in the burger and chips kind of section. Nothing special but seemed popular enough; it was about half full. Very quiet!
Looks clean, very nice looking place in a good location. This was my 2nd visit, on both occasions I sat for about ten minutes without any acknowledgement from the staff. If it was busy this would be understandable. So I left again without ordering.
We occasionally pop in here when passing on the A55 on the way to Llandudno, there is a lovely variety of food and drinks and there are plenty of tables in this spacious cafe. There is ample parking too..
Thank You for a lovely stop..
