Had a lovely night here for a friends anniversary. Was served huge chunks of well-selected meats and fish to cook on the hot slate which was great. My only criticism is the order the food was brought out - chips came out first so by the time we had actually been served the meat/fish to cook and it was actually cooked the chips were cold.
Lovely food from an amazing chef and the bar staff were pleasant. As there was a large group of us they coped well, the food was delivered very quickly and we enjoyed a few games of pool. We are sure to return shortly
My husband and I went last week and so enjoyed it, we went again tonight with friends. Portions are extremely generous and everything is well cooked. I particularly recommend the halloumi on the hot stone.Will definitely go again.
The chefs certainly know what they're doing here. I would highly recommend the ribeye and my partner had a first class T,bone steak. The portions are fair as the steaks are not just your average pub 8oz .....and, a very friendly service too.
You will not be disappointed.
Had Sunday dinner at The Dolphin today, 1st class!! Food to die for, pleasent friendy staff and very well priced meals. Sunday was just Lamb (my favourite) pork or beef. Well worth a visit!!
Great meal cooked to specifications. Excellent service attentive but not intrusive. Would recommend to anyone and would go again.
Not great. New potatoes had obviously been re heated from earlier that day or even before. Battered fish was mushy inside. drinks order was incorrect. Never going back.
Under new management from July 2017, lovely restaurant/pub, excellent service and fantastic food at great prices. Will definitely return !
