Called 111 on Friday and was told I had to be seen within 24 hours because of the swelling, but as it was the weekend so I had to call on Monday (so not 24 hours then). Eventually get through on the Wednesday and seen by a lovely dentist from Poland (sorry I don't remember her name) who gave me lots of anesthetic and made sure I wasn't in pain whilst removing the broken and infected tooth to instantly get rid of the pain and swelling.
I don't normally give 5 star reviews, but it's so difficult to get NHS dental care at the moment with almost all dentists going private only (I've been on the waiting list for almost 5 years now). I'm glad there is a service like this to help when it's a serious issue.
I could have tried to saved the tooth with root canal and crown, but was quoted over £1000 and even that had a long waiting time.
The dentist didn't read my papers that I filled out and asked if my ethnicity was Scottish, I had already filled out the necessary papers so I assume she was just mocking me because I had put English, she continued to tell me she didn't know because she is "foreign". Then she injected me with lots of anaesthetics, and started trying to pry my tooth out with a bar until it was bleeding, I could feel it and asked her to drill as this was done the last time to loosen the tooth and lessen the pain, she refused and continued to yank and pull at my tooth like a crazed animal, then because I could feel pain, refused to take the tooth out and sent me to the chemist for antibiotics only to come back in 10 days. I also told her after she refused to take my tooth out, before leaving, that I could hear that my tooth had made a cracking noise, only for her to tell me that I didn't hear it. The tooth could have been taken out had she followed the proper procedure. I think with her stating she was foreign and trying to make strange remarks about my ethnicity and accent she was likely trying to make the experience as painful as possible. It is a fact dentists use drills to loosen decayed teeth to be removed, I told them to use they drill, she refused. I will make a full complaint and take the matter much further if needed. The treatment I received was disgusting. She also had the nerve to tell me to relax, I think I was rather relaxed considering the way she was abusing me, I even told her to carry on but she wouldn't. Now I have blood coming from my tooth and my mouth feels much worse.
I went there on an emergency with pain in my lower and upper jaw . I was booked by NHS 111 and the dentist asked me to point only at one tooth that was paining as they check only one tooth on emergency. She just took an xray and said there is a wisdom tooth trying to grow. I repeatedly told her that I feel like a cavity is happening in a tooth and she said she is 90% sure that there isn’t anything. One month later the cavity has worsen so much that the pain is unbearable. If there wasn’t a cavity how do I have a whole in my tooth and am hurting so much now. The dentist just didn’t care at all. Patients come to you with pain and need medical help, the last thing dentists should do is just steal money from them without providing treatment. Horrible!!!!!
Cannot speak highly enough of the service I received by Suzanne and the team. The receptionists are extremely friendly and helpful. Due care was expertly given and they listen to you, thank you so much to everyone and would highly recommend this dentist Jan Kirkland
Good…if you want a tooth extracted.
I’ve been told my a private dentist I need a root canal which I can’t afford at £420. Been in pain for a while with the tooth which is in my smile line. The dentist told me I had three options 1) remove the tooth 2) remain in pain or 3) go private.
What kind of treatment centre is this?
Shouldn’t dental services be trying to preserve viable teeth?
Essentially paid £26 for a few seconds of looking at the tooth and sending me on my way.
What an archaic and appalling dentistry system.
Awful service. Went in today to be seen due to bad pain to be told it’s an infection and need to pay £100 to go and see a hygienist elsewhere. No antibiotics prescribed and rude dentist. Apparently it’s not an emergency despite the amount of pain i’m in. Waste of time
So she told me to "wake up and get a dentist" then refused to give me a filling because it wasn't urgent enough.. great customer service. I wouldn't have been allowed N appointment if i had a dentist. I guess she just wanted the afternoon off.
These are butchers... screaming in pain as cutting back on anaesthetic.... never ever ever ever again.... I’ll
Put up with pain next time....it beggars belief these people are qualified in any way shape or form... STAY AWAY!!!!!!!
