I'd love to rate it higher but I've been a few times now and each time I've been there have been items that are stale that weve purchased (different items each time). Also very cramped when you go inside and majority of the food is exposed and open so that may have added to the staleness. Still lovely and worth trying though!

Walked past with my boyfriend, went in on a whim, I had the vegan sausage and it's delicious, my boyfriend had the normal sausage roll and he also said that it was delicious. We almost went back to seconds. The last thing we got was a pumpkin spice latte and it's honestly better than Costa or Starbucks, they where so nice with me asking for oat milk and make a cute little heart on it.

My absolute favourite place for pastries, pies and cakes in Colchester. My whole family is addicted to the vegetarian scotch eggs! Not only is the food amazing, but the lady that serves is always so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

What a lovely addition to Colchester. The couple who run this Deli are both lovely people, great honest service is always given. Their fresh products are spot on and they hold a good stock of other items too. Always worth a visit.

I don’t often review places on Google but I had a really nice experience and wanted to share it. After having two really long weeks at work I decided to pop into The Deli to see what they had. At first I was having a browse then saw some yummy things I wanted to try. I got a tin of cookies, some cheese, a baked good for partner and one of the freshly made cottage pies. The services was great and the lady told me the cheese I picked it one of her favorites. The cottage pie was really delicious and I asked if they could wrap it up so I could take it to go. They wrapped it in tinfoil and made sure it was safe to be taken home. It may seem like something simple but I appreciated the effort. I would definitely go back again and try some other baked goods and fresh food. Looking forward to my next visit!

I came in yesterday after parking in a different car park so my walk home was different. But when I walked past I couldn’t not stop! The ladie serving was very nice and polite, the atmosphere was so lovely! And the food was 10/10 I brought a sausage roll, a cheese twist and a Portuguese custard tart. The tart was incredible and I actually woke up thinking about it! If you haven’t been you need to go! I will be back!

Had a Steak Pie from the Deli this evening. THE best Steak Pie i have had in my 62 years bar none. Their Pork Pies and Scotch Eggs are excellent aswell.

Sadly the pie contained more mushrooms and potato than chicken and only 2 small pieces of bacon so dissatisfied as the pork pies are fantastic
