This is a hidden gym that doesn’t get talked about enough. The sandwiches are amazing, and the portion size is more than enough for one person. People are friendly, they’ve got some really cool things you don’t find at a normal grocery store and everything is very fresh.
My daughter took me to lunch today at a nearby amazing deli as she knows my love for subs. Growing up in the Bronx, I must admit this deli superseded my expectations better than my local Bronx, neighborhood deli. The meats, cheese and ingredients are of very high-quality. The staff was very welcoming and great in preparing our sandwiches. Why isn’t this sub shop better known to most sandwich lovers in the DMV? Well folks, I highly recommend this deli sub shop the next time you are hungry for sub I personally recommend the “Mad Italian sub” It will exceed your expectations.
This is a great shop! Takes me back to stopping by a corner store in Brooklyn. The store was squeaky clean, they were well stocked with snacks and drinks, the service was excellent, and the sandwiches we got were so good that I forgot to take a picture. I got the New Yorker, the pastrami was great and well-balanced. My wife got the Italian Stallion which lived up to its name. This deli is great 10/10
I started going to the Deli in Fairfax when I was 17. Imagine my delight when I saw that they had a location in Lansdowne! We have been going to this location for many years and they have the most delicious sandwiches and a wide variety of chips and drinks to add to your order. The staff is always friendly. Love it!!

Odd that this place never "popped" up when searching for delis in the area. Customer service was ???? but more importantly, the sandwich, wow it was good. I got the 8" Italian and the thing weighed like 5lbs. It was huge, everything tasted very fresh and was well prepared. I'll be coming back!
So good! The sandwiches are huge! This is half of the "12 inch" Mad Italian. Plenty of sandwich choices, 3 racks of chips, and lots of drink. They were busy but quick service.
Awesome traditional deli with a large menu. Plenty of bottled drink choices and an assortment of chip brands and flavours. Really nice people! Good prices
