Our food was amazing, service was awesome and overall a great experience. We will be back. I had the seared scallops with hash browns, side salad and my husband had the New York strip steak, mashed potatoes with side salad with hot bacon dressing. He also had the French onion soup. The bread basket had little toasts in it that tasted like garlic bread and were delicious.
Okay, first of all, I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant. The architecture is beautiful! There is a nice variety of signature cocktails and we enjoyed ours. I would definitely recommend getting the French onion soup! My boyfriend tried all of their oysters and said the raw ones were all amazing but wasn’t as much of a fan of the Rockefeller. He got the seared scallops for dinner and said they were very good with a lot of fun flavors. I had a steak and I would definitely recommend adding the chefs butter on top! Overall, this is a very nice restaurant with a great menu and I would love to go again sometime!
Wonderful experience and delectable menu. Outside patio is cozy. We lived our oysters, lobster bisque, 10oz fillet minion and Cesar salad. The desert - tiramisu was so delicious. Highly recommend. Very busy so make sure to book a table in advance.
I’d say this is best fine dining in Dells.
The atmosphere of the Del bar is fantastic. The architecture and the ambiance are very cozy. It is truly an authentic Dells restaurant. The server was prompt and attentive. The NY Strip was very good and the Ribeye was decent. The butter made the steaks better. I was not a fan of the Brandy Old Fashioned, they were not muddled, and tasted inferior to most other Old Fashioned I have had. We had both the sour and the sweet Old Fashioned, and they both missed the mark by a wide margin. The hash browns, were good, but definitely did not live up to the hype. I think it is a classic supper club, and would recommend to someone that loves a protege of Frank Lloyd Wright, someone that loves butter on steaks, or someone that wants a truly classic dells experience.
Waitstaff were attentive without being too in your face. Great old fashioned from the bar. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare. Add the bone marrow butter. You won't be disappointed. Looking forward to returning again soon to sample other steaks on the menu. The food was so delicious I forgot to take any pictures!!
Stop in here whenever I’m in the area, normally traveling for work. The bar is outstanding and old school. The whole experience is a step back in time within the Mid- Century building they occupy. Ordered the scallops, asparagus, and a spinach salad with hot bacon dressing. Everything was prepared flawlessly. As I travel a lot in the region, this establishment is a rock solid oasis in the middle of a tourist trap- well worth the expense.
What an incredible place to eat, recommended by a good friend who i trust for it anniversary dinner and Saturday night did not disappoint! King prime run was perfect and the wife ordered the crab roll which she loved as well! Because it was our anniversary, they offered a champagne toast but one of us can't drink right now. They took care of us though and we had an amazing experience.
Huge shout out to our waitress, Megan! She was fun, personable, and really professional! Highly recommend!
It's been a minute since I last ate here but not a lot has changed except maybe the prices are about 2 to 3 times higher than years ago. It's kind of an old-school type vibe. The raw oysters seemed really fresh, and the martinis were on point. For dinner I got a small market salad and added cocktail shrimp but requested to have it grilled. It was an $8 up charge for the shrimp add-on and it came with 2 medium sized shrimp. I think that was disappointing. Either give a couple more shrimps or charge less for the add-on. Next time I would add grilled salmon instead. The salad itself was delicious tho and contained an assortment of veggies including sliced avocado. I also ordered a cup of French onion soup to accompany my salad meal. The soup came out piping hot and it had a really nice flavor to it, and the cheese melted on it was delicious.
My SO got a bone in ribeye and said it was great. We both got a cup of coffee, and it was super fresh and hot too. While it looked like the place hasn't been renovated or changed in years and could stand to have some updating, I still recommend this restaurant while dining in the Dells area if you want to check out an oldie but goody.
