Absolutely fantastic. The food is really good and brilliant selection, it also arrived really quickly.
The decor is lovely and clean and staff at the bar really friendly. I also liked the small touches like tampons etc in the ladies toilets.
The garden area is also nice and lots to entertain the children.
The Crown Pub nails it with its cozy vibe and delicious Sunday roast. The atmosphere is inviting, the roast is top-notch, and the service is spot-on. Whether you're grabbing drinks with friends or digging into a hearty meal, The Crown delivers. Highly recommended for a satisfying dining experience!
Came with a party of 25. We had pre ordered, and all the food came out together. There was plenty of food and of good quality. In fact, some people struggled to finish it all. The staff were very professional and helped with every question and requests efficiently. A good village pub with a sports bar on one side and a place on the other to have a chat. We'll worth a visit.
We didn’t book yesterdays Sunday dinner, as it was a last minute decision, however whilst it was all fully booked, Craig was extremely accommodating and managed to source another table for the 3 of us! The Service from everyone was brilliant, the bar staff, and the waiters, and the food was just incredible! I ordered the Chicken Roast and it was probably the best chicken I have ever had! Highly recommend The Crown
THANK YOU! The guys at the crown rustled up the best roast I've had in years and gave us a table tonight next to the fire, which after cycling 45km in the icy rain was very welcome. Such friendly service and seriously a delicious meal. Couldn't really have asked for more they were amazing. Large does mean large tho, I won't need any dinner after that lunch!!! ????
I am really disappointed with the service I received by one particular member of staff named Corine, when visiting which almost ruined my entire visit. I am a resident of Chinnor and have been since 2020. I brought a couple of my friends with me to visit the pub, before we entered we finished a smoke outside and were being stared at by staff through the window. We entered and walked up to the bar and were instantly asked for ID with no welcome. Me and one other friend had ours (we are both 25) my other friend had forgotten his but had a picture on his phone but was blankly refused. She was incredibly rude and had an extreme amount of attitude and said ''if we weren't happy with her decision we should leave''.
Luckily a part time member of staff who wasn't working at the time bought my friend a drink who was clearly of age and made up for it. All other members of staff were polite and welcoming.
What a lovely place. By chance we came upon the @thecrown in Chinnor. Staffed by the owner, a good family run pub. Recent refurbishment too.
Drink is priced well, food, of well, lovely. Light bites are like a main. Dirty chips are too die for.
Defo a must visit again.
Food cost us 17£, drink cost us 9£
The atmosphere is amazing, the drink on point, can't really day more than that, Sunday lunch is the coutry equivalent to a ritz 4 star Michelin meal.
