Found out about this place on Scioto Woods community app. Wow. The boneless chicken strips are amazing. Great flavor and tender white meat. The Texas potatoes are a bit blah but the collard greens are A1! We did pickup but the in-house, love the environment. The temp was a bit high.
Not quite the best fried chicken I've ever had ( I still need to drive fairly far south for that ), but this was excellent for Columbus. The meat was completely seasoned through, and not remotely dry, which is oddly uncommon around here. I do wish the skin was crispier and the chicken's internal temp was hotter ( to be clear the chicken was cooked through just not particularly hot ). I do think this restaurant is superior to Hot Chicken Takeover.
This was a nice clean place to walk into, this was our first time trying it. The customer service was great, friendly and informative, The pricing was great for the portions that you get! We tried a little bit of everything and it was all great. We will definitely go back and eat it again.
Freaking fantastic! Couldn’t decide what I wanted to eat. Typical woman shenanigans. Googled food around me. Decided to give Crispy coop a chance and damn. Take my money! So good! Will definitely be back.
Pretty great fried chicken. Not sure how consistent this place is but the one time I had it, the chicken was very juicy. Ordered a Half Chicken in Ohio Hot Honey with Mac n Cheese and Mashed Potatoes. Also ordered a side of a Nashville hot thigh to try it out. Both sauce flavors were excellent. The sides not so much. Both the mac and mashed were very bland IMO. Underseasoned and lacking oomph. Gravy definitely helped. Meal was delivered so I can't comment on eating in. Will try again dining in!
A top contender for best fried chicken in Columbus. I've had the tenders twice now and both time the chicken has been amazing. Large tenders, light but crispy breading, but the real attraction is the seasoning. This chicken is perfectly seasoned. Every bite is juicy and has just the right amount of salt. If you're a central Ohioan and a fan of fried chicken this place is a must.
Best chicken sandwich I have ever had! The chicken sandwich combo Tennessee mild was incredible. I can’t wait to go back!
The chicken with the hot honey is absolutely divine! Mashed potato’s are alright, nothing amazing, the collard greens are very tasty especially as the hot honey leaks in the box mixing in with them.
