Fantastic pub, staff are lovely and welcoming, locals are great and fun to be around. Jukebox plays country music loads which just adds to the atmosphere. Pool table is great too.
Food is coming soon also.
I am giving this review not only because the pub is in great condition and I received a warm welcome. But it's so sad to be the only person in there. If we don't use our pubs then we will lose them. I would recommend that they serve tea and coffee now the cafe opposite has closed.
Great pub with family atmosphere. Good selection of drinks & food available with sensible prices. Really clean. Remember to book car in to the parking app x
Another pub which is protective of its parking spaces with a strange number plate system. I guess they've had issues in the past. Food is very well priced but I've not tried it, yet. Staff are always welcoming. Has a pool table that is always free when we go in. Juke box choices can get a little gritty on the ear but someone is enjoying it, or enjoying the pain it gives others. They usually have some guest ales which change fairly regularly. Worth a bash.
We recently held a small party at The Cricketers to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The buffet was excellent value and the staff at couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Everyone had a great evening thanks to our hosts.
Nice place for a beer. Plenty of room, pool table, darts board, enough choice to find a drink you'll be happy with. Also has parking.
Got a fine for parking there.
Apparently you need to scan a QR code when in the pub for the parking. Never heard of any pub in life doing this. I missed the signs and wasn’t told when at the bar. Purchased 2 drinks then left and received the parking fine. Called up the landlord who said to appeal and show proof of purchase at pub, which I did and my appeal was rejected meaning I still have to pay the fine. Think people at the bar should mention this about the car park as I have honestly never come across this at a pub car park in my life. The landlord owns the car park too so I’m not sure why he would say appeal and then reject it. Was first time trying this and I’m local, will be telling people not to bother.
Just wanted to thank the Cricketers for laying on a wonderful lunch on Monday for the Funeral Wake. THe service and food were top class. Very impressed with the prices as well. Many thanks Annabel Young
