Great choice of beers and a nice warm place to spend a couple of hours on a cold January evening.
My wife and I travelled to Faversham by train and from the tap to the platform is less than 5 minutes. We'll definitely be back.
Nice chap serving said at 22:10 that last orders were in 5 mins. Then the guy who run the place said at 10:35 that they were closing in 5mins and to drink up????
Lovely place, nice beer, could be brilliant, but so apparently too much hassle to stay open on Saturday Night after Xmas lights switch on.
Hope I don't see in a years time on KM that the landlord is moaning about lack of trade.
Disappointed.
This is definitely something different in the town. Following the concepts of both a taproom and micropub and merging them the end result is a well decorated, clean but small establishment where you can drink beers you will not get anywhere else in town.
No, there are no cask ales, but there are keg ales and the only real difference it one is poured under pressure and more carbonated...
There is nowhere else you can get a hazy new England IPA or raid the fridge for a great selection of speciality beers, which is again is unique in town. I have heard this place getting some stick for the prices and serving in 1/3, 2/3 and pint measures, I can imagine these are the same punters that would rather drink brown flat shepherd neame 'traditional' beers.
Regarding the pricing, the lagers are comparative to other pubs, ales usually are cheaper but they are not here so a bit steep is you are an ale drinker. The Belgian beers in the fridge however are in my mind cheap. Consider that you will pay £2.50 in the supermarket for a duvel triple, you can get some really tasty Belgian triples here for £3.25 and upward of this.
Staff are helpful, attentive and knowledgeable, they are quick to clear glasses and wipe tables.
I really like it here. Not sure I'd sit here all day, despite the efforts there is something missing on the character front, but to pop in for one or two it's perfect.
Excellent environment and good drink variety on offer with like minded people
My favourite by far with great blues and country music and great beer selection
Cozy little micro, with a really thought out selection of beers and ciders on tap. Prices are comparable but waaaay more options. We will be back!
A great tap room for a good selection of keg beers and cask beers. Fridges of on/off sales beer. Never thought of this as a food venue.
Very nice micro. Great atmosphere. Large range of excellent beers. Average prices.
But thank the maker! Cask is back on! Which was absolutely lovely, although there was only one on. Two really should be a minimum.
Recommended.
