Best KPortal Reviews
Such a fun eatery! We had dinner here with our family of 8. The decor is entertaining all by itself.
Our server did a great job of getting the food to us and attending to our needs, despite the fact that they were clearly understaffed when we visited. Food was good.
I didn’t love the fish and chips, but it’s mostly because the batter wasn’t what I expected- there was a seasoning I couldn’t identify and I didn’t like that. Personal preference only, not the restaurant’s fault. Everyone else enjoyed a satisfying meal and dessert.
Some of the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Batter was crispy and didn’t overwhelm the flavor of the cod. Fish was juicy and fresh. Fries were hand cut, hot, and paired great with vinegar. Tartar sauce was the best I’ve had hands down. Awesome recipe.
Make sure to eat in house. It was a wonderful experience, and I can’t believe there are reviews that order fish n chips to go and then complain that it’s soggy after sitting in a closed cardboard box. This place absolutely lives up to the hype. Loved our meal. Chili was amazing as well. Get it with fresh onion and cheese.
We stopped at Crazy Norwegian after a morning of driving the coast.
We split a chowder and a fish fry. The chowder was fantastic but a little lacking on crab 4/5. The fish fry was amazing. They split the plates for us and actually shocked at how much food we got. Homemade tartar sauce FTW 5/5
Portions were generous so value was definitely there. 5/5
We ordered the frosty mocha pie and it was off the chain 5/5
This place was an unassuming hole in the wall (my favorite kinda spot) and was just what we were wanting. As a side bar and not affecting my rating, the older waitress that was there was pretty sharp and rude with a number of people. Our waitress was awesome, attentive and perfect. That was just more of an observation. If we’d have had her, our rating may not have been as high.
Giving a 4 star. Deserves a 4.5 but not a 5.
Solid location! The chowder was great, and it was fun to have the cranberry lemonade. Fish and chips were solid. Was told that the pie we ordered was frozen? But maybe some of the others are made there.
The family and I took a trip to the Rhododendron Festival and we stopped in for a bite to eat on the way home and had a great experience here. My kids had never had clam chowder before and they absolutely loved it. The burger my boyfriend got was massive and delicious. The service was super nice as well.
Fun place to eat outside when the weather is nice. The fish was good and I enjoyed the fried clam strips. They both were hot and crispy. The pasta salads was okay, but the coleslaw was great - more of a pickled slaw.
Love this restaurant filled with local character. Food is cooked & made fresh, delicious, and locally sourced when available. Service is excellent, provided by local young adults who love living in our community. Atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, with lots of local citizens. One of my main "go to" places when I don't want to cook at home.
We were just passing through town on our road trip and were in the mood for fish and chips. This place was perfect! Service was friendly and fast. The food was hot, fresh and tasty, it hit so many spots. We shared a fish and chips, and kids got chicken strips (it’s a BIG serving here) and a delish cheeseburger. The fries were plentiful. We had some happy bellies when we went on our way. It’s just a small place but had plenty of seating inside and out. I would be a regular if we lived nearby.
