Got home after buying crabs from The Crab Barrel. Wish I could give 0 star. spent 115.00 and tipped for crabs and when We got home they were lites. Some were even feather lite . All had little to no meat. We were ripped off. When a business knowingly sells poor quality products of any kind ,at reg prices that is called STEALING !!! Never going here again. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS !!!! ????
I ordered a dozen of mixed medium and large female crabs and the dozen looked like all smalls. I would suggest looking at the crabs before committing to the purchase.
OVER SEASONED! We got two dozen large crabs at carry out. The crabs had tons and tons of seasoning on them, way too much seasoning! The bottom of the bag was also full of seasoning. It looked like someone dumped seasoning into the bag. I’ve never seen the bottom of a bag of crabs filled with seasoning. We had to wash the crabs off before we could eat them. We will not buy crabs here again.
Our Jumbo crabs were worth every penny! The bourbon wings were the best! We were asked if we wanted onions and potatoes with our steamed shrimp? we never saw it. The shrimp was served boiled, not steamed with no season. The crab cake was supposed to be lump meat it was mostly some off-putting filler that was grey with no flavor. The fish sandwich was dry and overcooked. Our waitress left and never came back as I went to the restroom there she was just standing had to ask the bus boy for the check it never came when I saw her on my way out of restroom had to ask for check again. If I am out that way and want crabs or wings, I'll surely stop but will not order anything else from the menu.
We ordered a bushel of the large full crabs. The full crabs were $349. The crabs we received were very small for larges. They looked more like mediums! Less than half were full. Some were so extremely light, that they felt hollow!! Will never get crabs from here again. So disappointed. Everyone who ate them thought they were mediums. So embarrassing to host a crab dinner and provide these small, light crabs, what a waste of money too. When you pay almost double for full, you expect heavier crabs.
The service is excellent and very friendly and have the best food ever, we are partial to the crabmeat and shrimp.
First time buying crabs here. Ashley was friendly and nice. The crabs we excellent ,heavy and the seasoning was the best. Will be back again and again. Thanks so much
The best crabs I’ve had in years. The large males were fresh, huge, and heavy. I don’t know what kind of season they used but the crabs were seasoned to perfection. They gained a new regular customer.
