If you're looking for a serene place to eat GOOD FOOD at a REASONABLE PRICE, you'll love this hidden gem! It's not in town and doesn't have the club vibe, but the staff is wonderful, and they have a free shuttle up and down the hill. However, it's also a nice walk up the hill from town and you may glimpse some local wildlife on the way there. When you visit, say "Hi" to Ivan for me!
Stayed at the Catalina Canyon Inn and went out for lunch at the Cove.
We were very surprised that the place was lonesome but we decided to give it a try.
To our great surprise they had a very diverse menu and great service.
Oh and not to mention they have happy hour from 3-6pm ????
We had carne asada fries and 2 rounds of buffalo wings and 2 rounds of margaritas
Everything was super delicious with so much flavor
We read some of the past reviews and people not liking to sit themselves at a table but honestly who cares
The next day we had lunch and we had the barbacoa tacos , patty melt , turkey sandwich, carne asada fries, and fish tacos. They even gave us a small sample to try the pozole.
Absolutely THE BEST.
We could not stop telling them that the food was beyond delicious. The plates were well served and definitely worth the price.
The Cove definitely tops any of the restaurants down at downtown Avalon.
I would most definitely come and eat there again .

Next day had the Blackened Salmon with Mexican rice, roasted potatoes, honey roasted carrots and broccolini, clam chowder, margarita, Cabernet, fish and chips and lava cake with vanilla ice cream. Too stuffed. Good food.
Enjoy the food by the pool. The service was fast with smile .the cocktail were delish food was devine great atmosphere.
I was staying on property during the off season and had low expectations. I figured I'd grab a drink here befote heading down to town to bar hop. Massive shout out to the bartend/waitress Elizabeth for making some of the best cocktails I've had in a while. The service was excellent, the attention to detail was solid, and I felt very welcomed. Kudos!
Closed for the season, but did not have that message posted on their voicemail, website, or Google. Long steep walk for nothing. Not even a pretty walk, lots of garbage in the road unlike other areas.
We asked for vegetarian appetizers but were served buffalo wings.
We recieved potatoes instead, but they were frozen solid inside.
Thankfully, we recieved compensation guacamole but it was just ok.
They were out of Chile relleno.
The only waitress seemed more interested in serving the people at the bar up until they left.
Excellent service and food, cant go wrong here. Off the beaten path, but worth a visit
