Very small place but it really worth the food , home cooked meal . My husband had hamburger steak and I had catfish and we both were pleased , mac & cheese was delicious :p . Staff were very friendly , we defently go back there if we are driving on I-10 (ponce de leon)
If you are on I-10 and looking for a great lunch, you would be remiss if you didn't stop at The Cove 2 in Ponce de Leon. This unassuming little former BBQ joint is just a mile up the road and well worth the stop.
The special for our stop was a Bowl of Chili with grilled cheese. The huge bowl of chili was chock full of beef and chopped fresh tomatoes. Darn Good! The cheeseburger was huge and cooked to order, loaded with L&T. Everything tasted fantastic, and was such a nice change of pace from the ubiquitous fast foods we see so often. Don't miss it if you are hungry!!!! Under $20 with beverages.
Super great food. The grilled shrimp was delicious, the cheeseburger was big, and it made my daughter happy to have an umbrella in it. Service was great and friendly, the women joked with my kids, which impressed me.
I only give three stars because it took almost an hour for us to receive our meals. In fairness though, we had seven in our party.
Excellent service, food was cooked perfectly and we enjoyed the selection. We will definitely return!! We had the fried okra, mini corn dogs, Philly cheese steak hoagie and popcorn shrimp. The desserts are made by a local vendor and very tasty.
Y’all! This was a super pleasant surprise! It looks closed from the outside but inside is clean and nice. Clean bathrooms. The food was sooooo good! Try the FRESH pork skins! And the chocolate pecan cake!! Great burgers, salads as well. Homemade ranch is on point. Quick service and really friendly staff!
Small town family place. We visited while in the area for scuba diving. The food was pretty good and the folks were friendly. Seemed like everyone who came in was either friend or family. I had never heard of tomato gravy. But, if you are a fan thiers was good.
Our compliments to the chef! I had the Western Omelet, side of smoked link sausage and whole wheat toast. Hubby had a ham and cheese omelet, crispy bacon and cheese grits. Omelets were perfectly cooked as was the bacon and sausage. The veggies were plentiful and fresh in my omelet and the ham chunks were smoky and nicely diced. Lots of cheese too! Tyler our server wad friendly and attentive. Would have taken pics but we scarfed it down so fast we forgot! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!
