Best KPortal Reviews
Our favorite restaurant in NSB!
Staff is always friendly and attentive.
(Yay Tabitha & Melanie)
The food is always so delicious!
Chef Glen is an artist!
Our #1 choice for dinner is their 20 oz. pork chop & fries. I don’t know what kind of magic he uses but it’s always satisfying and scrumptious!
Also, be to also order a BOWL, not a cup, of their clam chowder! You’ll thank me for that tip.
We stopped in on our last night in NSB for the season. Read the reviews and had to try. We are so happy we did! The staff and chef were so friendly and welcoming. Our dinner was delicious…starting with sticky ribs (pictured), seriously best clam chowder ever, and yummy pasta dinner. All in all…great dinner and even better people. Can’t wait to return.
The live singer lured us in from the street with her angelic voice on Saturday evening. My husband and I had been snacking throughout the day so we were just looking for a drink and small bite each. I had their clam chowder and could have screamed it was so heavenly tasting! Generous amounts of clam and the broth was peppery-perfect! Our server Melanie was spot on recommending the courtyard mussels! I have never ever tasted mussels so delicious. The goat cheese, bacon combo was genius. We can’t wait to go back and enjoy more from the menu. Melanie was really a highlight for us throughout our time there, very well timed service and her overall demeanor was lovely. This restaurant is a gem and so is Melanie!!
Chef owner Glen made us an incredible dinner. My wife had salmon and Glen made me an off the menu porkchop Parmesan. Tabitha our server took great care of us! Oh and the clam chowder was also incredible!
I had the special, crispy duck and lamb chops. It came with a sauce on the side. My wife had the scallops. They were huge, cooked correctly and the portion size of 6 was a great value. All of the food was cooked perfectly, service was excellent and the live entertainment was amazing. NSB has a lot of great dining options and The Courtyard Grill deserves a place with the best of them. We will definitely do it again.
Our son recommended this place to us, and I'm SO glad he did! We called ahead and reserved a table (I would suggest you do the same), and we're seated immediately when we arrived. We were greeted by our server, JoJo, who had a great personality and an excellent understanding of the particulars of the menu. He made great recommendations.
Our dinner orders started out with salad (the ladies got those), and my son and I opted for the cream soup. The support was quite possibly the best soup in ever had! I would have shared a picture, but I ate it too fast. It was thick, had a touch of sweetness, but still maintained a bisque-like taste. Again, highly recommend it.
For the main course, I chose the Vegetable Alfredo with Shrimp, as did my wife and daughter. My son chose the day's special, Surf and Turf. It took a pretty long time to get it, but it was worth the wait. TO DIE FOR. Our pasta was perfectly cooked, vegetables were sauteed nicely, and it was loaded with big, delicious shrimp. As for my son's dish, he let me have a bite...may have honestly been the best steak I've ever tasted. Tender, melt-in-your-mouth ribeye, cooked to a perfect medium-rare.
While we weren't eating, we were entertained by a talented singer and saxophone player (don't know his name). We were even treated to a song by "Rex", a frequent guest of the restaurant, according to JoJo. It was a hoot, and our whole family had a great time.
Some warnings, though: parking is not easy. We got lucky, but I can definitely see someone having to do laps to find a place to park. Secondly, it is NOT a low-cost affair; you most likely will not order a dish under $20. Third, it's loud. If you're looking for an intimate dinner, this is NOT the place...at least not where we were sitting.
Bottom Line: save your money, make a call, arrive early to park, and get ready for a fantastic dinner.
Place with charming and gentle atmosphere. Preparation of our meal did take some time but it was worth it. Make sure to try sweet potato puffs, I was pleasantly surprised with the taste! Loved the location, outdoor seating without wind&street sounds. Our waiter Jess was great! Would absolutely come back!
Mind. Blown. The food was absolutely amazing and full of flavor. I was lucky enough experience a completely personalized meal by the chef (it was slow). I travel a lot and this is the first time I have experienced a completely personal service. The staff was outstanding as well.
Cute, comfortable and secluded setting. LOVE. THIS. PLACE!!!
