Not to jab at other spots but when I came across a fish and chips shop that *didn't* have a big loud sign proclaiming that they were the best fish and chips shop I figured it had to be a winner and The Corner was just that. Impressively crisped batter on the fish (wife insisted I share that point), we got the large chips with fries and gravy and it was all excellent. Large cod and large chips was plenty for the two of us. The lady cooking for us was a gem too :)
I haven't had fish and chips this good since I was a kid! Excellent portions for the price, and even some gluten free options for Mum! Thanks for blast of nostalgia. Would definitely recommend.
Possiblly the best fish and chips in Norfolk .. If not on the east coast...
I can't praise this family run cafe enough. From the service to the sea fayre. Everything was just perfect. Fish freshly cooked by the captain and his crew, light and crispy batter. Fresh and fluffy chips. All served by an absolutely wonderful, happy team team who deserve every single 5 star review they have. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Extremely helpful staff. When asked about allergies they have a separate fryer for gluten free meals which impressed me. Food was perfect for fish&chips supper by the beach. Happy and positive atmosphere. They were also happy to re-cook 1 portion of chips to cater for my autistic granddaughter who is very sensitive to texture and wanted the chips "dryer".
Excellent food, nice crispy batter on the cod with lovely soft chunks of meat. Chips lovely all cooked fresh.
This is probably the best fish and chips I've ever had! The food was fresh and delicious, the service was brilliant and the chefs were very friendly, food only took around 15 minutes. You could also see the food being cooked and battered in front of you! The atmosphere was also excellent, as you had a direct view of the sea!
I would absolutely recommend that you try this place, I cannot overstate their quality!
We had lunch at the corner today and the food was absolutely stunning! I don’t remember the last time my 4 year old finished a meal especially when eating out as he gets easily distracted but he had the kids cod bites and ate the lot, as did the rest of us! This will now be our go to fish and chip shop in Great Yarmouth with a warm and friendly service and 10/10 delicious food!
Delicious cod cooked fresh to order in front of us with traditional chip chop-style chips and curry sauce. The batter on the fish was satisfyingly crisp and the fish well-cooked and flaky. We waited a couple of minutes and had a lovely chat with with the very friendly owner, Mark, too so we knew the food was going to be great and it hit the spot for a Friday fish supper. Highly recommended if you want fish and chips in Great Yarmouth.
