Extremely disappointed. Everything started well, very friendly and accommodating for my son. There was no kids menu but I suggested maybe just a sausage and some beans and an egg for my little boy and she said yes that's fine. I had a scone and a hot drink and my mother in law had a tea cake and hot drink. My son's meal came over and it was scorching like nuclear again this is fine I can easily cool it down. Anyway we all finished and I dashed to the counter to pay to which I was told it would be 21 pound and I asked if it was correct as it seemed extremely steel and I was expecting 15 seeing as we only had a small amount and my little boy had a handful of stuff which I assumed would be put through as extras. She told me not was correct and I asked for the price of my son's meal and she told me 8.75 RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF MONEY.... I was just astonished by this. I could of got a whole breakfast for that price or sausage and mash. THEY don't have a child option so I had no option but to order him bits and Bob's. SHE said that it still used electricity to cook this meal and that's why she charged me 8.75. I just think it's ridiculous and certainly won't be returning. Such a shame as I did like this cafe and the staff but I've changed my mind after today just super disappointed
This is a lovely little place, the service is some of the best you will receive, so very accommodating. The cafe itself is extremely well put together and maintained to a high standard. My partner loves it here and this is her go to cafe in the whole of Wymondham. I recently had The coffee shop breakfast which is a good size and priced well, (I opted to not have the tomato which it would usually come with). My partner also tells me the coffee is second to none so it seems the place for that as well.
Overall I highly recommend you check them out, I would rate the experience a 10/10.
Lovely little cafe. I used to come here many years ago so it was lovely to revisit although I believe its different owners now. Decorated nicely. Table service. Simply menu nothing complicated. Clean. Friendly staff. Good price. Friendly place. Lovely to sit and watch the world go by.
Just a short walk from where I’m staying in Wymondham and on a Sunday morning checked for somewhere to have breakfast. They are situated on the Main Street about 100m down from the market square, on the right hand side. Definitely COVID aware and check that you had signed in using QR code, or signed in with personal details.
Warm welcome for the ladies working and offered to sit where I liked. The menu is quite comprehensive, but it is t too full to be overwhelming. They cater for all the main food allergies and choice, that I could see on the menu.
Plenty of room inside to accommodate wheelchair access, however due to COVID, they are only offering 5 tables inside and 1 outside. Tall clear screens between all tables, which was nice to be able to watch life go by.
The breakfast was very good indeed and a lot bigger than I was expecting. It tasted good and was hot and the beans nearly had me gasping for air ????????.
Would I come again?
Definitely
Will be here next weekend, as I leave for work before they open.
I love this cafe staff are very pleasant and friendly top marks well done all
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food DELICIOUS! We can thoroughly recommend the macaroni cheese and lasagne! Also the tea is served in proper tea pots and actually tastes like tea, (a good colour and strength).
Called in for a light snack during the wymondam vintage day .
It was very busy but the service was good and the food was value for money ( baguette and panini ) . I was with my daughter and 4 month old grandson , we took up a lot of space and sat on a table for 6 as this was the only table available . The owner was very welcoming . Will call in again when I'm visiting wymondam ????????
Lovely cafe, delicious sandwich. Good service. Will go again
